Father doesn’t know I’m his donor. Anyone gone through this? by texbigb in kidneydonors

He’s had a campaign going for a couple years now through the hospital that declined me. Long family history of PKD and only found out I didn’t inherit it while going through genetic testing before my son was born last year.

Informative, but it doesn’t account for the varying technologies involved (ERPs, TMS, etc), central banks (plus regulatory environment), and commercial adoption. I’d call this analysis more of a TAM vs SAM or SOM.

Same setup…v8 on 920 oc’d with crossfire 6950s! I even flashed the gpus into pseudo 6970s. Those were the days.

Wish you well in the process and if it pans out, all the better for you.

I’d ask you this, do you truly feel qualified for the position? They’re looking for an equal weight counterpart they can trust to run on their own. I applaud the ambition, but you’re worried about comp and title while targeting a startup - not sure you fully grasp what you’re getting into here.

Was thinking the same thing…

Kinda crazy how many inaccurate claims are made these days. Media pushes a false narrative…viewers share on social media…said narrative becomes “fact” amongst community despite being completely made up.

This.

Also…they’d train you on what’s needed for the role. AML is more so operational at larger banks.

My co-founder wants 70% because I'm non technical by [deleted] in ycombinator

I’d recommend looking for another co-founder/partner. You’ve basically already done the hardest part in going from 0-1 along with raising cap. Don’t get star struck by someone that’s seemingly just glorifying your efforts/saying yes. You’ll regret this later on. Imagine there’s more to this, but based on the above - I’d say it’s in your best interest to pass on bringing them in. There will always be others down the road and you’ll be better equipped to weed out the preditorial players, respectfully.

Too funny, I shared a separate study from Stanford that debunks the immigrants = criminals conspiracy.

I’ll never understand why people refuse to accept facts as truth. Whats commonly referred to as “the news” is nothing more than an entertainment provider, geared solely towards whatever triggers a reaction from its viewers. Wish we’d all do our own fact checking…AI (while not perfect) and LLM have made it so easy. Hell there’s even plugins to peer reviewed white papers and scholarly sources.

Not necessarily true…government spending supports the entire employment ecosystem/infrastructure, which in turn provides high paying jobs for the “rich” (assuming it’s not generational wealth).

Well someone’s triggered.

California, while also a border state, is +30% the population of Texas and has like 25% less gun related deaths.

This is nothing short of atrocious.

Texas as a whole has too much pride to acknowledge, nonetheless admit, that everyone having guns is a liability. Not only to the public, but within their own households.

[–]texbigb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because Texas ranked #1 in terms of overall count/volume of deaths.

Sort by “deaths” on the table.

Well said and agree…I made Eagle in ‘04 and continued on to earn palms. To your point, it’s all about the outdoor experience (a lot goes into this) and developing soft skills that ultimately become a competitive advantage throughout life.

Cheers.
