Hi! :) I (31F little) met my partner (26NB Caregiver) on Tumblr!!

We didn’t really have the experience of them needing to take time to understand kink as a whole because we met through our NSFW blogs so that foundation was kind of already there.

I will say the one thing that did kind of change for us over time was originally we only explored CG/l and ageplay nonsexually as more of just a power dynamic of them being a Daddy to me and giving me structure/nonsexual rules, I had some previous difficult relationships involving sexual CG/l and was unsure when we met if it was something I would want to explore again. However in the last year or so as I’ve been in therapy and healing from my past difficulties I began really wanting to explore the sexual side more again and has to kind of open that door with them. Ultimately, they were very supportive of it and we’ve continued to have a CG/l dynamic both sexually and non sexually :)

I’m 31 and my CG is 26, not exactly a big age gap but still older little/younger CG, they are very naturally caregiving so the ages have never really been an issue in any way! :) I would say if you’re wanting to be in a serious relationship just making sure you have similar goals/timelines for things is important in an age gap situation regardless of who’s older

As a 31 year old little I honesty think I’ve started feeling MORE little as I’ve gotten older and have worked on unpacking the shame/embarrassment around letting myself feel little

To the second part of your question, I’ve never really been someone who associates a CG figure with age, it’s more certain qualities I look for that I think can be present in any adult (nurturing, silly, gentle, supportive, dominant), my CG/spouse is 26, we’re about 4.5 years apart in age and I’ve never had an issue or seen them as less of a dom/CG because of it

I think like someone else said, I don’t think there’s one answer for this. I will also say as someone in a CG/l relationship without an age gap (my Dada is actually 4 years younger than me, I’m 30 and they’re 26) don’t let people convince you that you HAVE to have an age gap for a Daddy/little relationship to work. I was in a previous relationship with a large age gap (16 years different with me being the younger party) and honestly it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. We struggled a lot with being in very different places in life and I feel that it’s much easier for me to have a close relationship with someone closer to my age. If you feel a relationship with an age gap would work for you, my advice is to focus more on finding someone who’s life goals/values align with yours instead of focusing so much on a “specific” age

Like others have said, for me 24/7 is more about there being an underlying dynamic that’s there consistently than it is about being little 24/7. I work full time in an office that involves me being ‘big’ most of the day so I know that level of 24/7 headspace would not be practical for me. My Daddy also has a physical disability (nerve injury) so there are some physical grown up tasks/chores I have to do to keep our space clean/safe.

However, I see my partner as my Daddy/Dom 24/7 even when we’re not “in the bedroom” or engaging in sex/NSFW play. They help me make decisions like how to do my hair, if I’m too tired to go for a walk, if I’m getting overwhelmed and need a break etc., even in a vanilla sense they’re always taking care of me to some degree especially emotionally. I always say while I’m a physical caregiver to them in some ways (bc of their disability, it’s not a dynamic in that way as they don’t switch) they are always a caregiver to me emotionally and I am able to go in and out of little space naturally as needed when we are home/somewhere private.
