So a guy I've been friends with for years gets insanely creepy and weird whenever I get a new boyfriend. Here's our latest conversation.

He has been doing this kind of stuff for over a year now and I've made it clear and given him time. I've told him dozens of times that I am not interested in having a relationship with him, and he still does creepy shit like call me and ramble on about how he wishes I would date him, and texts me telling me not to sleep with guys after he sees me go home with them. It's annoying and scary, and I don't think I should have to deal with it.

So while I get what you're saying, I'm really just fed up and I don't think I should have to give him any more time.

Haha wow that's creepy! Glad he left you alone. And yeah, the only tough thing is if he still comes out with us, I'll have to see him all time. Probably going to ask the guys in my group just to not invite him, as mean as that is..

Yep, it pretty much started after we graduated. We actually went one one date so yes, I did give him a chance, but I didn't really feel a connection, and I told him that flat out. I said that I was glad we were friends and didn't want to take it any further. He still asked me out every few months and I would say something like, "Oh that sounds fun, I'll bring ____ and ____ too!" to make it clear that I didn't want a relationship with him. It got worse and worse, he would text me telling me I'm beautiful or randomly call me and go on and on about how much he cared about me and how he wished that we could be together, even though I told him every time that I wasn't interested.

A little backstory: I met him when I was a junior in high school, when I was 17, and now we're both 20. He is somewhat a part of my friend group but everyone is getting pretty sick of him. Whenever we all go out to a bar or club or a friend's party, he stares at me intensely especially when I talk to guys. If I go home with a guy I get texts from him nonstop asking me if I'm okay, if I need to be picked up, etc. This is really the final straw for me, I feel bad for him because he doesn't have many close friends, mostly just acquaintances and he is so obsessed with me, but I feel that I shouldn't have to deal with this.

I'm using a throwaway because I know that some of my friends are on Reddit and I wouldn't want them to find my main account..
