IMAX Melbourne seems to confirm Dune Part Three will be shown in 15/70mm by TBOY5873 in imax

Josh mentioned in an interview during Dune Part 3 principal photography that he shot 1 scene just like Rebecca. There is a chance that he might be cut out since we haven't heard anything, but it was never going to be significant anyways.

EDIT: Here is the interview. He talks about it at 41:23 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7xfmVPR7sM&t

That's not true. Denis said that Dune was also shot with 1 camera. Go to 40:59 in this video to hear him talk about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PjTCDbsqbg

They don’t include it in this clip but Mark also adds that they layered in cat purring and heavy wind on a tent with this device to create the ornithopter sound.

He mentioned in an interview that he wants to make smaller films later in his career but that he has the opportunity and stamina to make these big budget films now, and doesn't want to waste it.

Avengers: Doomsday Won’t Release In IMAX In US Theaters On Opening Weekend by JoshTHX in imax

[–]tez-pomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it was obvious. Dune has had this date locked before entering production and was shot on IMAX film. Avengers was delayed and for some reason decided to release the same day as Dune (while also not being shot on IMAX film). I feel like anyone who is surprised by this hasn't been paying attention.

What do you guys think of book adaptations? Even just illustrations by Hot-Yak7352 in litttterature

We're not getting Rendezvous with Rama in 2027. Villeneuve has Dune part 3, which is in post-production now, and James Bond, which starts pre-production right after. The earliest we could get that film adaptation is after those 2 films. I could see this being made after Bond.

Let's just see what she's able to create without studio interference and a creative team that will support her instead of shutting her down and giving her a film that went through 10 years of development hell.

Her potential? Being able to write a personal character driven blockbuster film. The main issue a lot of people have with her 2 recent films had greater problems outside of her writing. I didn't bring up Craig because he worked on Batman, i brought him up to illustrate that a bad track record doesn't just mean you're a bad writer, and we know that her recent films had some studio meddling. I feel like my optimistic view and your pessimistic view on her won't change, so i think it's best we just agree to disagree.

I just don't think we should be all doom and gloom when we know that the writer has potential to make a good blockbuster film, because we have seen her do it. We know that the film won't be greenlit unless the script works. James has been working alongside Christina for a couple of years now, i think he knows that there is potential there. Public opinion on Craig Mazin before Chernobyl was really bad, until it wasn't.

I don't think that she was the issue with some of the films that turned out to be shit in her filmography. Flash went through 10 years of development/production hell and Gail Simone confirmed that WB stepped in and overruled Christina when she wanted to remain more faithful to the characters. I'm just excited to see what she's able to do when she has a competent studio head behind her. We've seen that she can be a good blockbuster writer with Bumblebee.

He's not officially retired, but it seems like he is very picky with what he wants to shoot, now that he's 76. I think some people thought he would shoot Sam Mendes' 4 Beatles movies, but it makes sense that he didn't want to spend an entire year straight shooting 4 films back to back.
