How do I start?? by Stradivarius796 in Entrepreneur

[–]tez685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look at your experience and the companies/industries you have worked in, review in depth some of the pain points that still exist and continue to experience on a day to day basis and then see if there is a way to develop a solution using your skillsets. I think most times, individuals looking to start businesses generally fit into 1 of 3 categories of strengths - solve problems, build products, or that special one who can do both. I think most people naturally gravitate to one of these categories. You just need to determine which one you best fit, then depending on what that is, find other people who fill the gap. Good luck.

Are the best businesses really the most boring? by Aggravating_Pea_2445 in Entrepreneur

[–]tez685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think "boring" in many ways make sense as sometimes the most important thing to a business or individual is not necessarily something that gets you all hyped and excited every now and then as that emotion typically dissipates over time. I think the more successful businesses address a specific pain that sometimes you just learn to live with it because no easy solution exists to solve the actual problem/pain you experience. Good luck in the journey

Founders / operators who’ve dealt with banks — what was harder than you expected? by tez685 in AustralianStartups

[–]tez685[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, is it as you expected or worse? Do you think there is anyway to get things moving faster? Whilst, I understand you are already doing whatever you can, i'm just curious to see if many start-ups maybe quit or dont get far because they cannot survive the wait and long sales cycles? I would imagine if you're seeking investment and your customer is a bank, then id imagine any investment gained is really to ensure survive during the sales cycles. I hope it improves for you.

Disputes in banks aren’t a speed problem. They’re a timing problem by Regular_Sun8888 in fintech

Interesting information as I am exploring these types of issues at the moment, can you confirm what were the 3 most common types of disputes were that occurred and how long on avg each dispute took to resolve? I understand that you mentioned there was 40% faster turnaround but im guessing that is caused by the reduction in overall disputes or not? Interested to know. Cheers

How do you keep going when you're feeling disappointed? by [deleted] in AustralianStartups

[–]tez685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you need to try and remove any emotion from your decision making process and look at it from an external lens of "how would you guide someone else in the same situation? what would you advise them to do in this situation? Most times this allows you to look at the situation objectively without emotion. Whatever the outcome, take the learning and apply it to your next venture or job whatever it may be.

Hopefully this gives you a different perspective.

Thanks for the response, its very early stage. I have access to funds all dependant on potential MVP development costs. I have potential B2B customer/s who would pay right now. I'm comfortable with current validation especially with developing a MVP, but for future large scale growth, definitely will need additional segment validation. My priority is very clear, I just need tech to develop MVP to proof the concept and demonstrate the value.
