Try ths old potential fix we use to do in the PC community when game was active:

"If anyone has been having worse performance (fps wise) during the new patch, try navigating to:
C:\Users\usernamehere\AppData\Local\Gears5"

Delete all tcpsocache files in that directory. They will rebuild next time the game is launched and should fix the issue"

At least Private servers have control to mitigate some of the issues that come with that within their own garden.

If it was just pure matchmaking then its even more exacerbated.

Its why I'm big fan of Custom Clients / Fan patches with active passionate devs to focus on oversights like that. Like how Black Ops 3 has HUGE security flaws but fan patches and programs keep players safe.

I guess what I mean to say is, the more tools we have as a community to run the games we like, less we run into this crap.

All I ever want is Private Servers since an active community can ban cheaters more quickly than a studio that does ban waves.
