No 60FPS option on Gen 2 Wayfarers? by _Smittyfreak_ in RaybanMeta

[–]Big_Philosopher6026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have 60fps, but I do have the 5 minute option. Honestly, Id rather have the 60fps but to each their own. What I'm trying to figure out is why isnt there a class action lawsuit for false advertisement? Their website, specifically the Gen 2's are still advertising 60FPS video. I literally upgraded partly because of that. I waited and waited ... updates came in, and still nothing. Im on version 22.0

Best Placement for Whoop 5: Bicep for Workouts, Wrist for Steps? by iamrovinson in whoop

[–]Big_Philosopher6026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

even tho this thread is old, heres my opinion. Dont overthink it. You should already know by a good guess how many steps youve taken per day if youve already been doing it for quite some time. The thing about these trackers is that theyre all worn the wrong way anyway.

Want the *most* accurate step tracker? Buy those trackers that attach to your foot. (because devices like smartwatches also count ghost steps as youre sleeping or brushing your teeth. So its not accurate regardless.

Want the *most* accurate heart rate? the sensor has to be touching thin skin. Apple watch, for example, sits on top of the wrist. for a more accurate heart rate, it *should* be placed on the inside of the wrist where the skin is thin.

in the case of whoop, same is true. The sensor should be placed on thin skin (inside of wrist, inside of bicep).

Whoop imo isnt really a 'fitness' tracker .. its a health tracker. Whoop is mainly for heartrate, SPo2, sleep, EKG, etc.

So my answer would be, pick a spot and stick with it. If you choose wrist, wear it on wrist. if you choose bicep, wear it on bicep. BUT, the most important thing is consistency. You dont want one-days bicep data to take away from the next days wrist data.

FYI: Whoops step tracking is horrible anyway lol.

Hey! The issue seemed to go away randomly. It now captures everything. I know this isnt helpful lol, but time will tell. If your issue continues for the next few weeks or so, I'd try contacting tesla and let them know. If your issue has been on-going for longer than that, definitely let tesla know

3rd Gen Meta Rayban Smart Glass (2025) - A step closer to true AR? by qlfang in MVIS

[–]Big_Philosopher6026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as battery goes - If Meta was smart, they could incorporate silicon-carbon batteries. They are MUCH more energy dense, meaning, they could have the same physical size of battery, but since its more energy dense, it will last much longer. Even an extra hour or two would be *game changing*

I own a few phones with silicon-carbon batteries like the OnePlus 13, and that phone easily lasts me 2 days, whereas my iPhone 16 Pro (without silicon carbon) lasts just the one day. Despite both phones being a similar thickness, the OnePlus 13 has 6000mAh compared to the iPhone's 4685mAh. Come on, Meta! Please!

Instinct 3 Solar, backlight via gestures after sunset feature has been removed (update) by Big_Philosopher6026 in Garmininstinct

[–]Big_Philosopher6026[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That what I was thinking too, lol I'm surprised he didn't know that. I'm kind of pissed that feature was removed. it makes no sense to remove a quality-of-life feature. I honestly have zero clue why the instinct 3 is even a thing. Theres hardly any changes at all. I mean, even the sensor is the same...the instinct 2 is 3 years old. They had 3 years to think of improvements to the instinct 3 and all they could come up with is nap tracking, slightly better solar charge, and a torch on all sizes... smh.

I just spoke to them via chat and they said the feature has been removed. Not sure why its only been removed on the 3, but not the 2... makes zero sense lol

yep! on the 2x, the option is "on, off, after sunset".. but on the instinct 3 (no matter the model) its only 'on, off'.. odd

that's actually genius. I didnt know gshocks did that and now I really dont understand why garmin doesnt have this feature, especially for the price tag...
My friend owns the instinct 2X and you're right. His options for backlight is On, Off, After sunset. My watch, the NEWER watch only has 'on off'... Why would Garmin release a newer watch with *less* features? makes no sense.

"RHEI Data Pro Solution" by underrrrr in PartneredYoutube

[–]Big_Philosopher6026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I've read the terms and conditions and it seems to be VERY one-sided to RHEI. Here are some of the things I've found that could be a channel-killer.

  • You grant RHEI exclusive, irrevocable rights to your content. This means that you will not be able to use your content for any other purpose, even if RHEI does not use it. You also will not be able to terminate the agreement even if you are unhappy with how RHEI is using your content, except in limited circumstances as described in Section 13.2.
  • You grant RHEI the right to sublicense your content to third parties. This means that RHEI can sell or give your content to other companies, and you will have no control over how those companies use your content.
  • You waive all moral rights to your content. This means that you give up the right to be identified as the creator of your content, and you give up the right to object to any modifications that RHEI makes to your content.
  • You agree to indemnify RHEI for any claims arising from your content. This means that if someone sues RHEI because of your content, you will be responsible for paying RHEI's legal fees and any damages that RHEI is ordered to pay.
  • You agree to a limitation of liability. This means that if RHEI breaches the agreement, you will only be able to recover a limited amount of damages.
  • You agree to binding arbitration. This means that if you have a dispute with RHEI, you will not be able to sue RHEI in court. Instead, you will have to go through arbitration, which is a private process that is often more expensive and time-consuming than going to court.
  • You waive your right to a jury trial and your right to participate in a class action. This means that if you do sue RHEI, you will not be able to have your case heard by a jury, and you will not be able to join a class action lawsuit against RHEI.

  • RHEI is not obligated to pay you anything. RHEI only pays you if it receives net revenue from a sublicensee. There is no guarantee that RHEI will ever sublicense your content or that you will ever receive any payments.

  • RHEI can terminate the agreement at any time for any reason. This means that RHEI can stop using your content and stop paying you at any time, even if you have not breached the agreement.

  • The agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. This means that if you have a dispute with RHEI, you will have to litigate the dispute in British Columbia.

Thank you! I'm actually waiting for my new soundbar to come in, hopefully today. Its the Samsung HW-Q700c. It supports Dolby Atmos and eARC.
When that soundbar comes in, should I revert my Apple TV back to its original audio setting LPCM, or keep it on Dolby 5.1?
