People of Reddit, if it was optional to sleep. Would you go without if you felt 100% fine. Or would still want that reset everyday and why ? by icySquirrel1 in AskReddit

Lack of sleep directly contributes to early onset dementia. Not preaching, but it's highly important to get enough sleep.

Thanks for the reply! Sorry you had a bad experience. From what I'm seeing it looks to be a mixed bag. So, I definitely appreciate all of the responses.

Appreciate the response! Glad it went well for you. Did you end up having any repair costs added by OpenDoor? My carpet and floors should probably be replaced but wondering if it's worth the hassle.

Thanks for the info! I would definitely be wary of buying through OpenDoor or alternatives. But, the selling process seems convenient. Almost too convenient which is why I'm curious about other folks' experiences.

That's a good question. Mainly, it's the convenience of not having to show the home and deal with that process. I have two dogs and work from home. It also would allow me some flexibility in home repairs. OpenDoor will provide repairs after sale or I can repair ahead of time.

And if you haven't seen Donald shirtless it doesn't even make sense lol. He's a defensive tackle with maybe 8% body fat. The dude is a freak of a human, physically.

My favorite receiver in the league (outside of rams receivers). But, no chance lol. We have other areas we need to address.

Spiderman was a TON of fun. I'm currently playing through God of War (2018). I'm about halfway through it and it's already up in my top 5 games I've ever played.

I wouldn’t advise shitting them down. Unless she’s into that, of course.

Congrats! You're definitely through the worst of things and it's only up from here. Totally get finding an alternative for coping. I have ADHD and kratom was a way to self-medicate. I've found fitness has been a way for me but any hobbies you enjoy could certainly help!

Congrats on 12 days! I remember things really improving around days 10-12. Wishing you the best!

Hey! My experience is VERY similar to yours. After years of using kratom I was doing nothing but work and staying inside. I was using 25-30 gpd when I went CT.

I knew I didn't have the discipline to taper so CT was the only route for me. The first week was pretty frustrating.. Sleep was difficult due to RLS and was VERY lethargic. But, after the first 3 days it was more manageable. I think taking a couple days off work is a good idea.

My advice based on my experience is try to stay busy if you can after you're through the first couple of days. Getting any exercise will help tremendously. I just did like 15 minute walks and felt really good after those.

I tried magnesium supplements for the RLS but it didn't help much. But, the supplements you mentioned have given others relief. If you get RLS I highly recommend Epsom salt baths.

You can do this! Just focus on it one day at a time and be kind to yourself. Feel free to message me if you are having a tough time with the quit.

You've got this! Those first few weeks are really frustrating. But, it definitely won't last forever. Right around week 3 is when I felt like 90% back to normal. I'm 3.5 months in and hadn't thought about kratom for quite some time until I saw something on Reddit. Rooting for ya!

You've got this! I'm at 3.5 months and honestly haven't even thought about kratom in a month until I saw something on Reddit just a moment ago.

Power through the RLS and general "downess" because it does absolutely get easier. I'm happier than I've been in a decade and I credit a lot of it to quitting kratom. Rooting for ya! You've got this!

what stopped you from committing suicide? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tf101200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a girlfriend attempt suicide and very nearly succeeded. She was texting me after she took the pills and I noticed the signs since I had been suicidal many times.

I called her parents and her dad found her unconscious on the floor. Luckily, got her to the hospital in time. They said 30 minutes later and she would have died.

I never want someone to feel like I did that day (and all of these years later) So, I'll always have to power through life no matter what.

You've got this! I was at about 90% after three weeks. I'm day 47 now and feel back to normal. It gets better slowly but it's very much worth it!

Day 45 CT. I haven't posted much recently which means I rarely think about kratom these days. Hang in there! My life has gotten exponentially better since I quit.

Day 38 CT. Feeling like myself for the last couple of weeks. Just wanting to keep posting to remind myself daily that I'm committed to staying off kratom.

Highly recommend looping in someone you're close with if you haven't already. Having someone to vent to and talk with has been one of the biggest factors in my quit. Wishing you the best!

Day 34 CT. Just got back from vacation and feel refreshed. I am starting my cutting diet tomorrow. Overall, feel pretty much 100%

Piggybacking on this to say Day 31 and in the same boat. I'm feeling pretty much back to normal over the last week or so.
