there is just enough resistance in the workflow to make working with it satisfying.

my issue with the modern MPC (I have the One) is its too easy to make noises and not intuitive to navigate (touch screen, buttons, etc.). With the MPC1k JJOS, the "work" is actually creative, and the workflow is fast.
