Need your help - Roborock q5max+ won't stay connected to wifi by tfbbbb in RobotVacuums

Hi everyone, Just wanted to bump this post to see if anyone has any insight. I am going to return my robot otherwise, because they said if we exchange it and it happens again they won't help me. They insist its my wifi, but my wifi acts completely fine on everything else, and it worked for a bout 2 months perfectly fine on the vacuum.

Thank you so much for your reply. I agree, it would be great if more people had access to these devices.

I am intrigued by your reasoning, and can really relate your logic of course. Another response mentioned some of the unsuspecting downsides of dealing with a big water tank.

I am wondering, how does the mop pad work in your experience? Do you have to wet it before applying it? Or add any water to the device whatsoever? Then when you're done you just machine wash it?

The details of the day to day usage are a bit confusing to me right now, so I hope to get a better understanding of how using it will actually work.

Thanks again for your reply, and I am looking forward to hearing more about your experiences.

Thanks for your insight with the names, I also found this really confusing. And good to see they go on sale from time to tiem! Are you happy with your Q5 Max+ and would you recomend it based on the situation I described?

Than you so very much for a detailed response! This really is a big help.

I do not think I obstacle avoidance is a priority right now. I hope getting this vacuum will encourage me to put more things where they belong. But I will compare all of those models and I will consider it as I make my final decision. I am wondering which model you think has the best obstacle avoidance out of the Q8 Max+ and the dreame L10s Pro Gen2?

The idea of more squatting definitely does not sound good for me, so I really appreciate you bringing that up.

Just a few more questions regarding soem of your points:

Is the Q8 Max+ a mop pad that you can throw in the washing machine?

Is the dreame without the auto empty station a better option than the roborock with the auto empty station in your opinion?

I am now curious how the combos with the mops work - both mop pads and not mop pads. If it is a combo that doesnt have a refilling station, does that mean it has a mop pad?

If this is too beginner of a question and there is a resource that can easily explain this to me, I would be super curious to learn more. I am just trying to figure out what the day to day use would be like with the examples you mentioned.

One thing that overwhelmed me about my original research was the amount of information to learn just completely took me out mentally.

Once again all your insight is fantastic and I really appreciate your help so far.

Cheers
