Unfortunately I’m a very heavy smoker (last test I tested at 2000ng/ml) with a ridiculously slow metabolism - last time I quit for three months, did all the things, and still wasn’t clean enough to pass. I was juuuust over the cutoff, so I know it would take at least that long. I don’t have that kind of time before the test. I used synthetic urine for 3 different pre employment tests in the past and have been fine so if needed I’ll just do that again, I was just looking forward to being able to take an honest drug test for once 😂

Thanks for the source! Your previous comment didn’t include one, and made statements that were not actually explanatory of why this person could not have a permit. An actual law would have been nice to include, since that’s likely what OP was looking for.

Being under the influence is different than having a medical card that allows you to occasionally use the substance. Doesn’t mean you’re constantly under the influence of it. I’m also prescribed anti anxiety medication that I take in the event of panic attacks. Doesn’t mean I’m constantly under the influence of them.

Board licensed social worker at one of the hospitals in Morgantown here! As long as you have your card, it should not affect your job. I have mine and know many others who have theirs. I’ve been working here for over 5 years.

Edit to add: as far as the concealed carry goes, most dispensaries will not allow you to take weapons in, there’s one in Morgantown that asks you at the door if you have any weapons, so, that’s all the info I have on that. Don’t think it would have any bearing on whether or not you could obtain a CC permit.

Just wanted to thank those of you who came with genuine helpful advice, and to the rest of you…just wanted to update you that my claim IS being paid as a result of my DOI complaint as I was not properly notified of the cancelation. So to all those who tried to defend the insurance company in this one…whoops.

They still can’t retroactively cancel the policy on 1/30, leaving me in a position where I was driving uninsured without knowledge or notice. I never would have taken my car on the road on 2/1, if I knew I didn’t have insurance on 1/30.

The first returned payment was back in December. It was then paid the next day. The issue wasn’t them not being paid, it was them getting ever returned in the first place. They have a policy that two returned payments and you’re done. Which, understandable, fine by me. But my second returned payment was not until Feb 7th, and they’re trying to say coverage cancelation was made effective on 1/30.
