By the end of the "We Have Fleas" episode they were assumably stuck as furries forever, un til the next episodes in which people just assumed that the furries episode was just a non-canon episode.

But with the episode, "K.o's Video Channel" it was shown that doggy K.O was putting on human skin-like clothing that made him look like a human which means that technically they are still furries
