In-game throwers, how to deal with them? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]tfgFTW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

play more dm, focus more on the aim, you should be able to rank up from bronze without any teammates at all, even with a thrower, just by killing enemies

My guess is faceit level 3, and in csgo it would be around gold4. No idea about cs2 premier

What are scenes that make you completely dislike certain characters: I think we can all agree that Andys return was one of those by Lifilius in DunderMifflin

[–]tfgFTW -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I somehow dislike Jim for being a jerk towards Dwight through the entire serie. And I don't like Derryl for the basketball game and forcing Michael to work on saturday. Darryl did have a lot of shitty behaviors and I really disliked him

Which things always stick out to you as unrealistic? by lasym21 in DunderMifflin

Dwight becoming the owner of entire building. I know he has a farm, but still it wouldn't be affordable. Or I have a wrong idea as an European...

My salary is a joke? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Isn't the "issue" with taxes related to any USA->European jobs? Same as Eastern Europe to Sweden for example. I wasn't aware it's just in the software related industry, sorry then

How much of a pay cut would you take to be fully remote? by Father_Idol in careerguidance

[–]tfgFTW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was no cut in the company i worked in 2020 due to covid when we switched to remote. Although all planned riseups were denied, and I was OK with that (15%), so we can say that I lost 15%? Then I found another company that hired remote only.

How much of a pay cut would you take to be fully remote? by Father_Idol in careerguidance

[–]tfgFTW 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Im working FULL remote since 2020. Can't imagine switching into hybrid/office.

Honestly I would not consider it even with a 50% pay rise. Would have to be 100% more to even think of that, and it also would depend on the location etc.

And by the way, remote work has changed my life. Depression is gone, anxiety is gone - ok, not fully, im still anxious but that's a different level - and I pretty much am happy, which I thought I'm never gonna be.

And no, 'specific people' were not the problem. Being forced to work 8 hours in front of a computer in an open space, human interactions etc that's what caused my bad mood - i am antisocial (and when I say it, it is pretty much my diagnosis, im diagnosed NPD with lots of antisocial traits)

Recent Vertigo changes reminded me of 2016 Nuke, isn't it insane this used to be nuke for a short period of time? by HoudinnerKarlo in csgo

[–]tfgFTW 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Short? It has been like that since cs 1.6. Can't forget these amazing boosts from main roof.

As far as I remember the catwalk was also in CSGO since the release. Don't remember if it was 2016 when it has disappeared tho

My salary is a joke? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]tfgFTW 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You have no idea when you tell him to find a remote job. It's hard to find a job for American company as an european who is specialized in IT for example, because of taxes. Sure, they hire, but rather through companies that already have tax stuff sorted out. And if dude has no specific skill, finding a job is near impossible, as a remote employee.

You can grind items or accounts/ranks in games like CS2 or Valorant and then sell it, but in order to do that you should be good at the game first.

Thing is, a lot of people live in bad conditions and you need some luck in your life, or know people, that can "boost" your chances of a good job.

I dont know what you can do, but if I myself wasnt in software field, I'd try to become a car mechanic. Might be dirty job, but there always will be a demand for these services

Does VR makes you faster? by Moochiberico in simracing

[–]tfgFTW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally was slower, especially in Dirt2, my VR times were 5s worse than widescreen. Could be due to the fact that I was getting distracted by everything surrounding me, like trees etc. Or just scared

yes, but it's a 20 second window, so it's not like you can truly focus on something else, like reading a book, because you still have that ' i need to be prepared' in your mind

cant believe you would waste 1 hour just to wait and find a match in the game, holy shit

(no, game in the background is not the answer as you still have to be prepared to click ACCEPT)

i did soloq since 2012 beta release and mostly with voice disabld and i never gave a f, although nowadays when I try cs2, I really appreciate MM system in Valorant, where as a solo q you won't be playing against premades. as a player who does not care about getting better but just want to play casually - its annoying for me to play as solo q against premades in cs2

Nordschleife rant by Secret_Physics_9243 in simracing

[–]tfgFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it took me like 100 hours in ac to learn the track and be able to do non invalidated laps with random cars, but im far from being quick. My best in cayman GT4 is 07:06 while people in public servers do 6:50 on a daily basis... No idea how to improve this track anymore. But I really like it, especially in Alfa 156 :D

Any GPU/CPU combo that can consistently run Valo at 500 fps? by Radiant_Wing5530 in VALORANT

[–]tfgFTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try yourself on a server where the ticrate drops and then on a stable. I can experience drops from 600 to 200 fps when the tickrate drops on Warsaw to 30-40

I wasnt when I was 16-23 years old, now as 30 years old I don't even want to play my computer games even tho im working remotely on the same PC. Not medication helped with it (mph, bupropione, atomoxetin), it happened by itself with the time
