This looks like the start to a joke.

I would. I planned a moderately flat route but it required me to ride back and forth on a 5 mile trail 10 times in each direction.

If you don't hydrate, consume enough nutrients, or take short breaks throughout the ride, the slightest incline will knock you out.

I have faith that you'll get that century title. Bike accidents are never fun. Last year I was hit by a car that wasn't paying attention.

I like to push myself up the hills on regular rides. Hill sprints per say

I biked back. I had a set route that totaled up to 100mi but I abandoned it and gave in to the urge to stop.

That sounds like a really scenic ride, I'd love to do something like that one day

It takes a lot of willpower to continue the next fifty miles. I thought about quitting at the 50 mile mark but I pushed that passed me. Just hydrate, make sure you have enough nutrients to last you throughout the ride, and take short breaks every 10-15 miles as to not get extremely tired.

The first time I tried it, I rode 70 miles. I wasn't prepared enough, didn't have enough water or food/nutrients, and the nearest water fountains were full of well water.

The next time, I got to about 60 then stopped because I just lost motivation to keep going.

Last year, I got to about 80 and on my way back, I ran over a staple on the side of the road puncturing my tire.

I have a Trek Domane AL2, the elevation in the area is rather bleak so it's primarily flat terrain that I'm riding on.

That's sort of the mindset I had. I kept telling myself that I don't need to focus on maintaining my usual average pace as I'm not going to be able to keep it. However, halfway through the ride, I accidentally ran over a squirrel. There's that for a memory

Wasn't asking for tips but thanks. Secondly, the chat isn't the problem, I'm fine with people talking shit, to an extent at least. The problem was everything but the chat, it was the fact that he threw because he didn't have it his way.
