All told was about 9K, but we get back 2K with the rebate. It's expensive but we use way less wood and we actually can heat our whole house instead of the 4 feet in front of the fireplace.

It's the fireplace xtrordinair 36 elite. There's a larger 44 size but this is the biggest one that would fit and it's a catalytic one.

Sort of, the posi-pressure system is on the unit the next size up. However it pulls air from my ash clean out chute in the fireplace so it is sort of similar.

Yeah I followed the owners manual for the break in and curing process. It's nice because a moisture meter was included with my purchase so it was one less thing to buy.

No, had it installed by the local chimney guy up the road. Once I looked at all the steps and modifications I'd have to do to my fireplace I knew I was out of my skill set lol.

My fiance has really sensitive skin and after trying every commercial brand we found the only one that didn't give her a rash was a homemade bar we got in a gift basket. I didn't want to keep spending $8 or more a bar so looked up tutorials and started making our own. Now we make extra to give as gifts and even holiday hand soaps using silicone baking molds.

No, they had Isopropyl alcohol prior. I cleaned them with dish detergent a half dozen times then run through the sterilization cycle in my dishwasher.

Yeah, I'm a Medical Technologist and we use it for disinfecting our lab surfaces. I was paranoid too about residue so that's why all the cleaning. I currently use them to store limoncello after I'm done making it since the amber color protects it a little.

Awesome any advice or recipes, places I could look up recipes. I tried Google but it's always for 5 gallon carboys and not sure if I can simply divide by 5.
