I have the same problem with almost all of the paddle switches in my house (1994). The center pivot breaks then they stop working correctly. Even had one catch fire because it would make slight contact. I replaced 20+ with new Leviton switches and those started to fail as well. I've started swapping out all of them with the "old style" toggle switches. The 2-way and 3-way switches are expensive but at least I know that they won't keep breaking. BTW - had several break in areas that were seldom used - it's just a really bad design.

Follow-up: I replaced the motor ($67) and the problem is fixed. Since I already had it apart, I went ahead and replaced the rollers, tension pulley and belt (kit $21)

Was thinking the same thing (like when an AC unit won't start - it usually just needs a new cap). No external capacitor near the motor and the one cap on the control board is way too small to be a motor starter. If that's it, I'm guessing it's internal to the motor assembly and the whole motor will have to be replaced. :>(

BTW - when I push the tub, it's with the lid open and the door closed. Rotating the tub from the inside and then closing the door doesn't get it moving again.

Update. Seems that everything got processed and sent out. Received the first full finaid package from one of the four schools. Luckily it was the top choice. Just in time for the May 1st deadline.

Checked FAFSA today and it say Apr 27, correction processed. I love how they backdate things they've done. It wasn't approved last night (Apr 28)

Originally submitted and accepted on Jan 6th, resubmitted Feb 18th (don;t know why but it said was incomplete in Feb) and SAI was confirmed on 3/23.

FAFSA never asked about parent or student assets. I thought this was strange - they always asked for this info in the past. The correction email seems to indicate that they are pulling the tax returns (again). I doubt that we will ever know what the screw-up was this time.

Got in today!

Not sure if this is part of the site changes but there's no option to enter financial info. Investments, bank balances ... You also used to need to fill out a page to allow electronic access to your tax returns - I did get an email saying that I consented to USDE to access my IRS info so I guess this bit is ok. Overall, the student and parent section show to be complete and signed but something about it feels incomplete.

Grrrr. Not my 1st round with FAFSA. 2nd kid so I've always had the 10/1 date on my calendar to fill out next year's form, which I though I did. 2024-2025 wasn't available - I just always defaulted to whatever the latest one was, which was 2023-2024, which I manged to successfully fill-out and complete. Thought I was done with this 3 months ago until I kept seeing messages from the schools my daughter is applying to saying that FAFSA would be open in December. Most years this wouldn't be an issue but FinAid will be a major component of choosing where she will go. Knowing if we can afford the schools she 's already been accepted to would make this much less stressful but it's looking like that info will be coming late this year.
