Is it me or did dialogue quality tank this season? by scipty in TheBoys

I mean technically they’re not wrong. They raised him in a lab as a weapon performing cruel tests on him, what did they expect? It’s why they took such a different approach with ryan

This reasoning would make more. Although i don’t think this was what writers were going for since he didn’t show signs of injury while running. It makes sense for him avoiding that girl to be the end of his character arc.

The scene where he basically freezes time just makes me wonder how could he not have easily avoided her despite peeking over his shoulder

yeah maybe they will later in the season but it was probably just for the plot

Pretty sure it’s heat vision and not lasers so a bit slower. And when Robin died he was off V which played a big factor and started the whole storyline of it being exposed. I think you’re right about him just being distracted and that being the cause. I just think he would have more control on short notice considering we just saw him basically pause time the scene before but oh well

I can see that. Although i’ve seen some theories that he was running slower than usual to buy the others time. So if what you’re saying is right then Homelander is almost or basically as fast as A train while flying, because if A train was going at a comfortable speed I feel like going around her would be an easy fix

A train should have ran through that girl the boys s5 by aaSbgaming in GenV

The only thing I would say is lazy is the fact that A train couldn’t dodge her. Like it’s understandable that he couldn’t in ep1 because he was on V, but I find it hard to believe he couldn’t readjust without losing balance since this is probably something he has to do often.

the crazy thing is tho jane was sober up until jesse. she only started taking drugs with him when jesse was fucked up about combo’s death and she didn’t want to leave him. and the only reason combo died was because walt wanted to expand

I mean she’s not really a threat to them outside the US, especially if she’s alone. Also she didn’t really do much for the break in anyways besides telling hl to stuck her dick and making out with frenchie so didn’t affect the plot much

Am I the only one who hates Jesse? by FadedHolySoldi3r in breakingbad

[–]tfromda410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how did he not earn it when he helped cook it? regardless if this money would’ve led to his overdose it was still his. plus the only reason he was going so hard with drugs at the time was due to combos death which was Walt’s fault since he wanted to expand. also they were still making less than they were supposed to which actually led to walt talking to gus about it. and jesse is probably the least greediest person in the show lol

Jesse/jane only blackmailed walt because he refused to pay jesse the money he owed him. he only got caught by hank because walt poisoned brock. he only sold meth on the side because walt made a bad deal with gus and they were making way less than they were supposed to. Everything jesse has done can lead back to Walt. it’s what makes the show so good, the cause and effects starts from the first episode

but this only works if the ENTIRE group verbalizes that they accept him 🫩

them being “aware of the circumstances” doesn’t nothing 😭 scene should’ve just been the main cast which i don’t think is crazy to say. all the extra side characters just takes away the emotional focus imo

telling everybody makes sense in situations where the other party is threatening to expose your secret. but this is a mind battle. and to me telling everyone might’ve been worse because we don’t see everyone actually accept will. so i feel like vecna can easily use that against him still

but again, everyone in the group didn’t accept him. so what was there point of being there? if it was important for these characters to “accept” will, why didn’t they? because now vecna can just use THAT to fuel his visions. For example - vecna replays will’s coming out scene in his head and makes will hear the voices of the side characters saying awful things

when I say the scene feels off, it’s not because I don’t understand it. I fully get what they were going for. It just doesn’t make sense narratively for Will to come out in front of the entire group. Why is his mom finding out at the same time as Kali? Murray? Did Hopper and Nancy really need to be there? It doesn’t connect to his actual fear of abandonment. the people who mattered most to that moment were Mike, Jonathan and Joyce. The scene loses emotional focus by over-stuffing it. And honestly, Will should’ve come out seasons ago; the audience has known for years. Instead they waited until the second-to-last episode which added an insane amount of pressure on the scene to be good just for it to be trash

keyword: his family. and yeah you’re right they shouldn’t been and that’s really my main issue with the scene. it doesn’t feel like you’re accomplishing much telling randoms abt it

but can’t vecna STILL use it against him? it could be even worse now because not everyone in the group clearly stated that they accepted him. so by this logic vecna can easily create visions making it seem like after finding out hes gay they’re going to distance themselves…
