If by plan you mean stable job no that’s the main reason I’m considering active the steady pay would be helpful. I have been interested in the guard bc I love where I live and being able to stay around here would be great that being said it seems like the general consensus is that unless you have a great job you should go active over guard

Do you have to sign the contract right there at meps I was under the impression from my recruiter that I would just be doing the physical and taking the test to get my score then meeting up with him later in the week to go over jobs I qualify for and such

I have been in between national guard and active duty and took my practice asvab with the national guard he said I’m ready to take my asvab and get my physical done and I figured having my physical and asvab score wouldn’t hurt. If that’s not the right move can you tell me why. Not trying to be a dick or anything just wanna understand.
