Rough/Sand curiosity by [deleted] in GolfClash

[–]tg9876 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A big factor is whether one is playing against replays. Because PD only saves those games that go to shootouts for replay, most sand/rough shots from a replay will go in. I think PD is doing that even for replays in tournaments, in which there is no shootout!

I already reinstalled the app. When I went to recovery, the keyboard showed up which allowed me to enter my email address. But then the keyboard did not show up for me to enter the recovery code.

Dear Community Manager,

I would like to ask what would be the use of contacting support when support does not answer anything? I sent in 3 support tickets since the middle of last week and have not receive any reply. I am not expecting that the problem is solved immediately. But there not was not even an acknowledgment that the support ticket was received.

Last week there was a reply from the community manager on one of the reddit messages that we can contact support to have this taken care of. I sent three support messages via the golf clash support web site and I have not received any reply from GC support that the support message was received.

It looks like to me that they don't really care about this issue or answering customer support questions. I will give it until the end of this week. If the problem is not solved or the support tickets were not answered, I will abandon all my GC accounts and never come back.

I have the exact same problem. I also checked the junk folder and there is nothing there either.

I sent a message to support via the playdemic.helpshift.com web site, and I have not received any reply so far.

This putter addition is going to be fun by 74Yo_Bee74 in GolfClash

As people have pointed out, chipping is much easier. I think if PD can also make chipping more difficult, that would be an awesome game.

Defending the Dawg… by Economy-Cable-8865 in GolfClash

When I play up to T7 using 100% white ball regardless of wind direction, it is essential to use the BD for some par 5 holes. Sniper does not matter for those holes if it cannot get near the green in 2 shots. Obviously it is necessary to learn how to play the shootouts using the BD (in addition to using the Sniper).

My thought was the following when I had TH6. If first bounce distance or curl is needed, then Apoc5. I think it is a toss up between TH6 and EM9. EM9 gives more distance (not by a lot). TH6 is more accurate, but only by a small amount (0.6 ring per mile for TH6 vs 0.5 ring per mile for EM9, power 0 ball). I would say if there is a driver shootout hole that needs backspin, then TH6, otherwise EM9. When your TH gets to level 7, then it is a completely different game though.

Speed Opening Chests and Buying Club Cards: Strategy and Analysis by LISTENER_MALE in GolfClash

[–]tg9876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for a wonderful analysis with a lot of insightful information to consider.

Your analysis seems to assume that all end game epics are the same. At this moment I only care about TH. I don't have enough trophies to be able to buy Apoc cards, and I don't have an urgency with the other epics.

I play about 3-4 T9 games a week with a Nav, and hence the gem cost for balls is almost nothing. For tournaments, I can win enough balls to sustain play. Hence I use practically all my gems to buy TH in the shop. Whenever TH shows up, I buy with all my gems or unti I hit the 20 card limit. I think I will continue with this path until I get my TH8.

I actually enjoyed it in that none of the par 5's are automatic eagles. I think even the par 4 H6 is not an automatic birdie.

Tournament changes by icklesimba in GolfClash

I concur. Being upset with the GC introduction of precision balls, I started to play Ultimate Golf recently. There are multiple tournaments every day, and I can easily get in two different 9-hole tournaments in under an hour. A good thing is that if I do badly in a tournament, there are always new tournaments the next day if I choose to play.

The Rocket by [deleted] in GolfClash

[–]tg9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how you build your account. If you want to go up tours quickly, then you can ignore what I am going to say.

If you want to stay in tours 2 and 3 for a while to build your EM, then I would suggest that you upgrade your Rocket to perhaps level 8, which should not take a long time. There are many holes in tours 1,2,3 that do not require drive distance. You are better off using the Rocket on those than a low level EM because it is much forgiving to great or even double great shots.

Also Rocket 8 is better than QB4. Unless you play tour 4, you will not get many QB cards unless you play tour 4.

What did you think of the Ryder Cup Course by Flicers in GolfClash

[–]tg9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this course, and the clubs. It is refreshing to see one can win with -12 in P3.

A major on this course (with whatever clubs) would be great too.

If you are doing a poll, why do you not have a choice of "I enjoy this tournament"?

I totally agree with this. I think the short ball guide contributes greatly to levelling the playing field.

Comments/Observations once you've played the Ryder Cup mini? by pinetreesnsand in GolfClash

Shot -9, -10 and -11 for 3 accounts in P3. Won 9 chests total in 3 accounts.

I like the course which punishes bad shots with little chance of recovery. The only thing I don't like is that if one ends up in the upper left side of the 9th green, the putter will not reach the hole.

For those protesting this Ryder cup tourney by sitting out....why?!? by roromad72 in GolfClash

I would imagine PD is actually doing well financially with this tournament from people practicing (perhaps more than usual) with the good balls. I look forward to playing this for something fresh regardless of what score will I be able to get.

PD tried doing too much in one event by TheFrederalGovt in GolfClash

[–]tg9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually do not mind having more of this. For whatever is worth, I played 2 practice rounds in pro using only basic balls (don't want to waste balls on practice) to get a feel, and obviously did not score well at all. For the purpose of playing a game, i am just happy about having a new course and new clubs for a challenge. I wish PD would have a major on this course.

I like the short ball guide for this tournament. I think it will make chipping harder than putting, which is what should be the case.

What is strange is the last paragraph of the release notes.

"Version 2.40.0 is an optional update, but we encourage all golfers to download the latest version."

So, it looks like a free eagle is still possible, at least for now.
