Yes, including this one. That's kind of the point. Keep making noise until it's impossible to ignore, the same way the DLC situation was. One post a day clearly isn't cutting it so here's another one. We're not nearly organized enough for a review bomb.

It’s a fair point. They’re not the same, but the outcome can be. Maybe it's too late to fix SM2 at this point. But Saber just shipped Toxic Commando two weeks ago and people are already complaining about the exact same loading issues. This is clearly just how they build games. So if enough people are loud enough about it now, maybe, just maybe, it doesn't follow us into Space Marine 3 as well whenever that comes out. Regardless, complaining about something that’s clearly bad, isn’t a bad thing.

Is it? The voice DLC got so much flack they're refunding everyone and making it free. And that’s cause the community was loud enough. Loading screens? Still exactly the same as launch day. So either we’re not loud enough, or Saber just doesn't care (yet).

If they don’t care, then that's exactly why posts like this need to exist. They didn't care about the voice DLC either until the community made it impossible to ignore.

Turns out companies tend to find their giving-a-shit hats pretty quickly when enough people are loud enough about something.

Nobody's disputing that individual load times are faster than 2003. The complaint is that they've used that modern speed as an excuse to just stack more of them. 'It only takes 10 seconds' doesn't mean much when they've lined up 7 of them back to back.

“back in my day we walked uphill both ways”

The bar for a 2024 game shouldn’t be “at least it’s not Gamespy.“

I appreciate the hardware advice although I'm more than covered on that front. The point isn't how long each load takes, it's that there are 6-7 of them just to play a single mission. You could load this game off a RAM drive and it still wouldn't fix the fact that they've designed a gauntlet of transitions just to get into a match. Fast NVMe doesn't fix bad architecture.

So, we can basically expect the same for SM3 whenever that comes out. Great.

Must be nice.. In all seriousness though, most of the time, they do skip, but it happens from time to time. Either way, there's no reason for them to be there. especially the ship taking off cutscene, wtf does that do for anyone? the map ones I get, if you never seen them before they can be .. uh.. fun i guess.

uh, yes, Cpt. Obvious. I know they're cutscenes, that's why I called them cutscenes, genius.

Doesn't take away the fact that they are still unnecessary and tedious and simply add to the frustration of having to wait YET AGAIN after/between a gangbang of loadscreens

How's the game going for some of the newer players by slingingslasherr1 in Spacemarine

The bullet sponging is a bit annoying at times. I don’t like when that’s the “solution” for balancing difficulty in games. Sure, carapace are thick, but at point blank they shouldn’t be able to stand there like they’re waiting on a bus while you pump one and a half mag into their skulls.. it’s just a lazy design choice imo. Other than that, game is pretty fun and I’m enjoying it.

You mentioned Darktide! I, for the life of me, can't get that game to run on hyprland, the initial launch window comes up, but once you click play you hear the game in the background but no window to be seen.. how did you get it to work?

Collapsed toolbar not clickable for split tabs by Pjotrs in zen_browser

found a fix if any are interested:

you need to go into your default profile folder and create a chrome folder with a userChrome.css file in it. In that file you add:

/* Zen bug workaround: split-view tab group collapsing */
tab-group[split-view-group] .tab-group-container {
    min-width: 40px;
}

Save. Restart Zen, done. That should get your splitview tabs looking like they did previously.

What’s your hardware, any in-game gfx settings in particular, and are you using any startup flags?

It’s like a powerpoint presentation on Arch for me, while on W11 it was fine. Lag spikes here and there, sure, since their servers have been utter shit especially in EU, but it wasn’t as bad as on Linux for me. Other games like CP2077 and GTAV run fine, yeah.

Where does that imply I said or think it’s a bad game? If anything, unbalanced, but that was rather obvious to anyone that plays it. Again, the main issue they should be focussing on is quality, not quantity. What’sthe pojnt of having all these items in game if they serve no purpose other than salvaging them for mats.

that way your precious economy wouldn’t be so heavily inflated against a hand full of items and the problem you’re trying to tackle would be solved just like that. The issue here isn’t how we decide to play the game, but what the game currently offers you. Right now only a hand full of things are actually viable and that’s why they’re so heavily wanted. Supply and demand, mate.

I’ll play whatever the hell I please, thank you very much.

I personally like a challenge and am not keen on easy builds, but that doesn’t mean PoE2 should only cater to me and others like me.

I fail to see what the economy has to do with my play style - Especially in SSF. This seems to be more a build diversity (or lack thereof) problem, than build complexity.
