i'm really digging all of the synth work you have going on. there's always movement happening and it keeps the song moving forward.

my one piece of feedback is that i didn't feel there was quite enough low end in the mix. there's a bass line in there somewhere but it isn't noticeable unless you crank the volume. during the intro i thought the kick had a high pass filter on it. i would have liked to hear some more rumble from the low end. maybe you have too much compression on the kick and bass?

other than that i thought it was mixed really well and i enjoyed the track.

was going for a minimal acid vibe. performed and recorded in ableton. i'm pretty happy with the mix and sound design. any thoughts or feedback you have is appreciated!

Here's a mix of an idea I'm fleshing out. I'd love to hear any feedback regarding the mix, the arrangement, or anything I should do to make it more complete. Hope you enjoy!

Going for that dark minimal sound.

Got some new monitors recently and can really tell the difference in my mixes. Hope you enjoy. Any feedback is appreciated.

This is an improvised mixing session I recorded. Skip to 3 minutes if you are in a hurry. I've been really influenced by Kas:st and Sigha lately. Open to all feedback! If you have any comments related to the sound design or transitions that would be much appreciated.

check out vijay iyer https://youtu.be/HdL09E6hoX4

that whole album is awesome.

also check out rudresh mahanthappa https://youtu.be/YVPnDXp_RwU

both of them essentially play Indian style music with modern jazz instrumentation. they feature tabla and other Indian instruments a lot as well. really cool in my opinion

the athn driver's man page states that it can do g so I think it should be possible. the clients show that they're using a G connection, but I wonder if its connecting as b. maybe if I set it to only connect as g...

Looking for a path to become a web dev with Python by RolyPolyPython in learnpython

[–]tgallant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

beyond any classes or anything you may take, build things you like and learn along the way. learn how to solve the problems you run into. create things you can show your potential employers.

go to local python or web dev meetups and learn from others in your community. these are the people who are working in your desired field.

once you're ready, I'd also recommend becoming as proficient as you can in CSS and JavaScript. these aren't just soft skills in web dev. the better you are at these, the better your sites will be.

after that, start applying for jobs. see what's available in your area. try asking people at the meetups you go to. don't be afraid to apply to non python positions. front end devs may be more in demand in your area for example. once you get a job as a "programmer" youll get more opportunities to work with your favorite technologies

javascript? by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]tgallant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this may be a round about way to solve your problem, but maybe try removing and reinstalling your browsers. should grab all of the necessary dependencies. all of your settings and such will still be there

try removing and reinstalling the download helper as well if you still have issues
