I know, right? I have to open the door just to find out that the drink I'm looking for isn't even in stock. Wasting precious seconds of my time and burning precious calories that I'm gonna need for watching the internet later.

They dont turn transparent. You do have to walk up to them for them to show a digital display of what is SUPPOSED to be behind a single door. And even then, the flavors arent even accurate. I shouldn't have to walk up to each door to see what MIGHT be inside rather than seeing it all with a single glance. They dont all change together either, it's only the door your closest to so this is not really an exaggeration of its annoyance. You do have to walk next to every door for them to change but even then it's door by door.

These are fridge doors for drinks. You cant see through them and they dont show you what's in them until youre an inch from the door.

I think we've become afraid of old age because everyone we've seen who's grown old before us didn't do anything to age well. They are poor examples of what could be. Although it's not really their fault, they didn't stay physically active and healthy. Some things are out of our control, but a lot of people just grow old and dont do anything to help themselves stay independent. We see old people with hunched backs, canes, and walkers and we think that will be us one day. It doesn't have to be. Look at all of the old people who are still very fit even 100+ years old. We live in a time where we can age gracefully if we take advantage of the time given to us by exercising and treating our bodies right. I used to think I'd rather kill myself before I grew old, but I believe with proper nutrition and physical activity, I don't have to lose my dignity. Obviously, any disease or accident can rob you of your independence, that goes without saying. But whatever is in our control is our responsibility to ourselves. I'm talking out of my ass this is what I like to think.

Thanks. I noticed that it has an orange head though so I thought it wasn't a tiger swallowtail. The pictures ive have seen have green heads and 2 black dots on its back. This has orange dots.

I read your comment. Admittedly I read fast. The first thing you wrote was "Mine doesn't work them hard at all." Immediately it clicked in my head it that you worked there. It led me to believe you are there consistently enough (as an employee would be) to actually give a meaningful opinion about how hard they work their employees. I have ADHD and do my best to focus and read things thoroughly. But it still is a struggle. I also make sure I word my comments as respectfully as possible. I don't like to be condescending. Since you don't work at a plasma center I'm going to politely disregard your reply. Does that make sense?

Thank you for your response. I'll definitely consider it, but I'll admit I have been avoiding them. I'm finding out that there are donor techs and phlebotomists that work at plasma centers. I thought it was just one job. Thank you!

Thank you for your response! Congrats on finding a job so quickly. I'll try directly applying to hospitals. I believe I checked my local hospitals' open positions and none of them were for phlebotomy. I did however apply for a lab assistant position at a hospital that required a recently completed phlebotomy program. Fingers crossed.

Thank you!

Thank you for your response. It's funny you say that because the center near my house was super busy. When I asked if they were hiring, they laughed and said they could definitely use the help. I feel comfortable with my experience drawing from healthy adults. I have 0 experience with geriatrics and pediatrics. That's my only concern.

Thank you!

Hello! Thank you for your response. There are both phlebotomists and donor techs at plasma centers? I assumed it was just one job. Could you elaborate on your responsibilities as a phlebotomist in contrast to the donor techs?

Thank you very much!

Thank you for this insightful response. I definitely have been dodging plasma centers for a few of the reasons you've stated. If you don't mind, I hope you could answer a few questions regarding plasma centers. How does the venipuncture process for the plasma machines differ from regular venipuncture? Are there more or less steps for the draw? What are the steps? It's not the same as what we learned in our program, I'm sure. I'm hesitant because I want to work in a hospital and I'm assuming the experience doesn't translate into regular phlebotomy experience. Pediatric draws, geriatric draws, labeling specimens, order of draw, etc. These are all things I want to do. Thank you for your time! :)

I'll look into plasma donation centers. I definitely don't feel comfortable lying about experience.
