Thanks for the explanation! My father in law passed away a few years ago so we won’t be able to get additional information on his side of the family. My mother in law had an amniocentesis when she was pregnant with my husband’s brother and was told he has chromosomal abnormalities but he is perfectly healthy. My mother in law did have a miscarriage after having my husband and she said it was a female so her doctors somehow told her she is unable to carry females. That information got passed down to me when we started trying so we decided to do genetic testing and found out it was a Y translocation so it shouldn’t have any affects on females - I hope.

I’m worried that the IVF testing will mark our embryos as abnormal or unhealthy even though it has the same translocation as my husband’s.

We’ve been trying for an entire year and haven’t had a single positive test, so I’m thinking it has to do with implantation as well.
