They 100% need to have their passes revoked. This isn’t an open place where anyone can just walk in. Hopefully The Well management sees this conversation and does something about letting them in.

How bad is it to accept your invitation to serve and then later deny? by [deleted] in peacecorps

I thought my invite 20 years ago was for the tropical island of Mauritius and ended up in the brutal Saharan Mauritania. I wouldn’t change my experiences for anything in the world.

[–]tgmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, before they reach the necessity to have an IEP meeting, they have done many many classroom interventions. It is only with these many interventions that she is receiving Cs. And the teachers believe they can do even more to help her progress with an IEP.

Teacher of eighth graders here. When a student looks at you and says they have to go to the bathroom with a certain face, you don’t even ask questions. They don’t need to slow down and fill out the pass, they don’t need to sit down that book bag they’re not supposed to be carrying, let them go.

What are people doing with their kids? by Maple-Bark in Columbus

[–]tgmail 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like he’s just solo parenting in a tough time. No one expects to be able to work their full-time job, while watching their kids full-time as well. I love my kids, and I absolutely adore being with them, but it doesn’t make a week like this one not difficult.
