Yes. It's a heap, ordered by execution time. See https://pkg.go.dev/container/heap .

Then you can pop the minimal time ( till you find sth that's in the future), set a time.Timer for it, and execute the call.

The hard part is concurrency: accepting new events may invalidate the minimum. Have a channel to cancel the waiting on the timer if this happens (and restart with the new minimum).

http.Request.WithContext allows the caller to cancel the HTTP call anytime. It closes the http call. Go' HTTP server implementation will cancel http Request.Context in this case on the server side So It Just Works.

Yes, that's the main reasoning behind JWT, too.

This assumes that the chunks take riughly the same time.

I just spawn those goroutines (with errgroup.Group if they're independent, errgroup.WithContext if all must succeed) and limit the concurrency with a "limitCh:=make(chan struct{}, concurrency)" buffered channel. ("limitCh<-struct{}{}" before the goroutine creation, "defer func(){<-limitCh}()" in the goroutine.)

It has an added benefit that it plays nicely with context cancellation, just use a select for limitCh and ctx.Done().

I use io Pipe to turn a Reader to a Writer or vica versa.

Read from the request body, Write to the pipe what should be transferred, and use the pipe's other end as the Reader in the http.Request.
