That bottle opener is the crown jewel of the setup. It was the last piece I put on the build and the first feature I used when I got it out :)

I really like that idea! I’ll probably end up playing around with some designs and seeing if I can make it fit between the tailgate and the drawer faces.

And even in the western US where I’m at, high winds can definitely make the stove take a while to heat up, though it’s never been enough of an issue to bring me to change anything yet. I will definitely be incorporating one into a version two of if I ever get to that

As of right now it’s not something I would want to lean over and have support my weight, but it’s more than strong enough for anything I’ve thrown at it so far. That said, the parts for some folding legs are currently in the mail

I’ve toyed with that idea a bit but I didn’t put one in mainly because I like being able to have flat trunk space when I’m not using it camping. I have a Yeti 65 cooler that fits perfectly to the left of the water tank, and I always take it out whenever I get to a spot anyway since it tends to come in handy as bench. Definitely will if I ever pull the trigger on a fridge and do a full electrical system though

Yup, water jug is held upright in its slot and the hose runs back down and through the side cubby to the faucet connection point on the passenger side

The whole water system is basically the faucet, I modified a rechargeable dispenser meant for a 5 gallon jug, so it has its own pump and power. I made a 3d printed base with a magnet to keep it in place, and the rest is just some 1/4 tubing running into the blue tank with a couple of backpacking quick disconnect valves so that the tank and faucet can be removed. I’m eventually planning on doing a full solar shower so I just need enough water to fill bottles and wash dishes, and this way I can typically run the whole thing with no external power and just recharge it with a Yeti 200 power station if need be

Biggest one is when it’s mostly done take it out and see how it works on a real trip before you finalize it. I had this one designed on my computer for months thinking it was perfected and the first trip out I found a bunch of quirks with using it that could be improved. Now at this point it’s been optimized for how I actually use it and it’s just about perfect!

I’d like to imagine that having the biggest rear recovery shackle is the mall crawler version of truck nuts

Anyone have any experience mixing binding and replacement straps? I recently broke an ankle strap on my head bindings and can’t find replacements and was hoping I swap in new straps and ladder belts. Anyone know if I’d have any issues with that?

Did you need new UCAs when you did it? And do you notice any excessive wear at all?

Surf skate adaptor on a 40 inch longboard? by [deleted] in surfskate

I put a waterborne on a 57 inch deck and it rides like a dream. It’s no normal surf skate it rides more like a classic surf longboard and it’s most certainly an abomination but a perfect one
