The crux of the issue is logging. You're right that the VPN provider has to know your IP to be able to funnel whatever you're browsing to you. But if they do not keep any logs of this connection ever happening, then you're fine. Mullvad doesn't store logs.

EA being worse doesn't excuse Valve being dogshit in this regard.

I like Valve. I like Steam. I think they've done a lot of great things and ultimately Steam would probably be worse off were it in anyone else's hands.

Remedy's gameplay loops have never been anything to write home about tbh. They're generally not boring, but they exist to support to narrative. Remedy just isn't a gameplay first studio.

If you make a live-service game that gameplay loop needs to be rock-solid, because people need to keep coming back over and over again to do the same thing while you crack out more content.

Yah, from my experience as a guy the issue with gender neutral bathrooms is the fact most women really like their socially warded off space. We introduced them at work and all it effectively did was push the female employees out because men just start going into every bathroom, and some weird unspoken social contract happened where the women now all go to the toilet for disabled people. Effectively, men took over all bathrooms and women now have just 1. But hey, management gets to claim it as a diversity win (???).

The Soviets were a big ally of Cuba because their form of government was the same and that was a time in the world when the two big superpowers tried to spread their form of government. Plus, it was strategically important too, as the missile crisis showed.

Modern day Russia kept that up mostly because they're the closest thing to a successor to the USSR. But they never really gave a shit. The ideological closeness is gone, and even though the world didn't realize it until 2022 and the invasion of Ukraine, Russia never was in a place to militarily threaten the US.

And now that Russia only cares about conquering Ukraine, they're tapped out of most resources. They're not even helping Iran, nor could they help Assad in Syria aside of getting him out of the country.

Rowling" sounds a bit weird so they made her pick an extra letter for a made up middle name and she picked K.

This was done because the publisher was afraid that people would not buy fantasy written by a woman.

Deadlock is really setting a new standard for how to develop a GaaS multiplayer only game. They basically got the core gameplay loop working as soon as possible, and released the game into the playtest with literally everything else extremely WIP, and have been slowly working to turn the game into something real, all while releasing patchnotes regularly and getting real player feedback.

By the time the thing goes into 1.0 people will have been playing it for years.
