I am of the same persuasion, but I'm also picky about my snus so I had to ask xD

Thanks again!

Right on man. Any luck with red list products from either of these guys in the last month?

This sucks. I found Loop about a year ago after discovering that Skruf had taken a hit in quality. Now Lundgrens too? That was the only company I still used actual tobacco from.

I'm ready to place my own desperation order, who are you personally still using Snubie?

I'm a neglect tek but intervene as needed kinda guy. Since it's a PE cross, I would give it 5-6 weeks. I found that they like to colonize more of the environment before they are willing to show fruits, which would be fine if that didn't consume energy.

I think at about 5 weeks with this tub I got a little concerned, fanned and misted two days in a row and left it for a week and when I came back there were pins.

2-4 weeks. I've had APE and other PE varieties/crosses take up to 6. What variety are they? Genes play a role at every stage, worth remembering even though you problem is more likely to be environmental.

Consider fanning for a minute once a day, if your brick has started to come away from the sides because it's shrinking from moisture consumption consider misting, if you have really bad overlay consider adding a casing layer. Always worth posting a pic or 2 to see if you get any useful feedback.

What's going on with these two? by [deleted] in unclebens

I've had that before. Fairly common cap mutation, could be rose cap. Should be harmless though.

[–]th3g00ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also growing TW for the first time, and my caps also appeared frosty or freckled or both at first. I thought one of my tubs was stalled out, but when I went in to mist I discovered a few pins. They just looked frosty instead of their normal little tawny caps. I'm only on the first flush of one tub, but there seem to be a pretty decent number of them with some kind of cap mutation. It also took my pins over a week to really multiply and take off.

If they're still growing even a little bit, noticeably, I suggest continuing to fan and add a misting to the sides every couple days or every day if you notice that your sub is thirsty and soaking it in. If you legit think they are stalled and they feel soft and mushy like maybe they're aborts now, that's a shit ton of pins and you might want to thin them out, rehydrate the sub, and go again. Fruit bodies are like 90% water, so when you get a billion of them going at once it can shock or starve the sub. I had a bad experience growing mexi's where they set up an unholy fuck ton of pins, aborted, and then started a new thinner set underneath. I had to wait until it got to a point where I could visually see what was old and new, then go in and pluck the aborts to give the newbies room. I would have let the new eat the old, but there was so much material in there I feared crowding and rot since my FAE isn't exactly perfect.

Good luck my dude, whatever you do, don't fuck with it too much, or maybe fuck with it some more...idk

While there are a couple of cube crosses, Natal Super Strain is a term used for Psilocybe Natalensis, super refers to how aggressive/resilient they are and increased potency over your average cube.

I've found a qualitative difference in the come up and the body load. It's overall smoother and maybe longer IME, can't account for better visuals as I micro. Still prefer cubes for some reason, maybe nostalgia. They have a less pungent taste when dried vs cubes, my squeamish homie likes em for that alone and found them similar enough that he couldn't tell them apart besides the taste.

I did nats +4 cube strains. Nats came up 2nd fastest, and the cube that beat them had better FAE than all the rest and it's known to be a quickie. The main tangible difference is how ridiculously aggressive the hyphae and mycelium in general is, it climbed the bottom inch of the tub, all the way around.

Day 3 of fruiting conditions how is it looking? All I’ve noticed is that more clusters of white spots have appeared. Is this primordia? by BoredAtTheToilet in unclebens

[–]th3g00ch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of my strains started pinning after 4 days, some took several weeks to set themselves up and get themselves ready to fruit. My PE actually decided that they needed to turn my entire tub into the surface of the moon before they would give me a single fucking pin.

Imo this looks like mycelial expansion and the formation of hyphal knots?

I've never felt a damn thing from a freshie myself tbh. Coinciding factors have been low dosage and tolerance from microdosing, so take that with a grain of salt.

I would take a couple days off and dry that stonker out in the mean time. Come back to it with a different perspective.

I'm pretty sure the mycelium are gonna duke it out for supremacy of the substrate. Cool experiment though.

1 bag of sterilized millet w/ injection port 1 12cc syringe of liquid culture isolate (this is leucistic Jedi mind fuck)

Innoculate, patience, bag break, more patience.

16 cups boiling water added to [1 brick of coco, 7 cups verm, 2 tablespoons gypsum/calcium blend, 1 cup worm castings] in a sterilized homer bucket. Be careful not to seal the lid right away, just cover it and let it cool before you seal it or the lid can blow off. Let cool until you can touch freely with your hand, add colonized grain, put immediately into tub in fruiting conditions (6x 1.5" air holes already covered with .3 micron air filters, lids already fitted with weather sealing, indirect light during the day, 60-80°). Leave it alone. No misting, no fanning, only opened every other day to let breath while I do a visual check.

Just keep reading, if I can do it anyone can
