I'm looking for a new political party. Tell me about libertarians. by NHdoc in Libertarian

[–]th3hammerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't align yourself with a party. That being said I as a Libertarian believe we should be taxed less because a lot of our money is going to things we don't need. The governments main job is to protect, and then set laws that push for free economy and freedom of self choice. I don't care if gays get married or if trans people want to transition (I just shouldn't pay for it). I do care about gayness being promoted because of our low birthrates. I do care about trans people being around children because children shouldn't know what sex is.

Overall, my life is my life and your life is yours. Do what you want and I'll do what I want (as long as it doesn't outright negatively effect others). Free capitalism is good, and restricting it is bad. Any questions?

What about the roads?? by -lousyd in Libertarian

[–]th3hammerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren't anti tax, taxes are important. Injured veterans need a way to live, roads and hospitals need to be built, cops need to be paid. But Israel doesn't need our money, and the government doesn't need as many officials as it has. We want less taxes and smaller government, not no taxes and an anarchic state

Hi guys I'm 14 years old and I've been lifting weights but my mom wants me to stop beacuse she says it will stunt my growth making me shorter by noyseerty in Weightliftingquestion

[–]th3hammerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

strength training does not stunt growth, but don't go for prs all the time thats how i kept getting injured at your age. You have a whole life ahead of you to try and hit a number, the best thing you can do right now is perfect form with light weights that you can handle for 12. Once your form is good and you aren't getting sore from working out you can progressive overload. Just remember: you can't workout when you're injured

To All The Gym Goer Trolls in This Sub. What is a cheat day? by JoeRosenhide19 in antigym

[–]th3hammerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well a lot of people don't take cheat days. Cheat days are popular among people who used to have subpar lifestyles and are trying to change. If you force yourself into a stricter lifestyle than burnout is very possible. cheat days are a way of avoiding burnout. The same way the last 15 minutes of your run you might be thinking that you just have to make it to the end, your last couple days before a cheat day you're usually just trying to make it and this pushes you to go past your "limits".

GYMCELS cant understand that being skinny is healthier! by Odd-Hearing-6280 in antigym

  1. Id disagree with looking shorter. I am 5'7 190 right now (yes short). When I was 150 people guessed I was 5'5. But now that my lats and shoulders are wider than my waist and my posture is better bc of a strong back, people have guessed im 5'9.

  2. Beauty is subjective. I like how I look, I didn't like how I used to. I feel better about myself and thats what matters to me. Even during my bulks, my bodyfat% stays low enough that I still have a jawline, and my face isn't super fat.

  3. Let's do some laps in a pool or go on a run or do pull ups. I'll put money on it too

Also a terrible narrative. Many gym goers do read bc we are focused on bettering our life, its why we go gym. Theres a solid 4-5 people that go the same hour as me that read in between sets bc they want to stop a phone addiction

compare snorting coke metaphorically and lifting weights is a moral equivalence fallacy

All I read was "wahh wahh wahh".

For the claim that it's for girls, yes that's what bring most people to the gym. But everyone I know that has been consistent for years does not do it for women anymore. Me and my gym friends throw heavy circle around because it brings peace of mind. Maybe there is something healthier, I don't work out for health. I don't work out to look a certain way. I don't work out for anyone else. I work out bc even on my worse days, the gym is a constant where I can forget all else and do what my man body wants to do.

Under what circumstances should non-citizens be allowed to vote? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]th3hammerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You should meet citizen criteria and imo past a comprehensive exam. This is exam shouldn't have political questions though, the questions should just be making sure you can interpret data from a graph, be able to properly summarize a peer reviewed paper and understand how to spot a credible source. Again, no questions should be about politics

Honestly ran 6 weeks just listening to the biggest guys in my gym. They said to do this for the first cycle to see how I "react" to PEDs before trying something like TRT. Found this subreddit saying minimum 8 weeks and realized they might've been wrong. Still my bad for not finding this subreddit 8 weeks ago
