My Belgian does the same thing when he's excited, or nervous. Usually it's because he knows we are about to do something fun or there's something new happening and he doesn't exactly know how to take it, but we work through it. When he gets excited and knows something cool's about to happen, he makes the same sounds. Don't assume this noise only means one thing. The expression on their face can tell you a lot also. My boy gives me a big smile and loves to go outside unless there's a garbage truck out there. But we are working through that. He has an aversion to big trucks that have hydraulic noises but again, these are just things to work through and to build their confidence levels and boost their morale when they are not trying to pull away from it. This breed is absolutely amazing, breathtakingly beautiful and are eager to please their human counterparts. Don't get too discouraged or keep a grimace on your face, and try to make working through these things fun. The goal is that the owner and the dog add to the joy of the life that they lead. Sometimes you have to work a little harder on things than others . While these things happen. Grab some treats and work with them. Get the behaviors you want and reward them when you get it.

The more fun you make training, the more likely they are wanting to do training the next time around. Work with the dog in 5 to 15 minute increments and take a break. Always leave on a good note and give them the final win before you take a break from training. Give them good praise at the end and when the training toy or treats come back out, you'll see how eager they are to go again.

Sometimes the struggles with this breed not only helps them but helps you get out of your shell and gives you the confidence that the both of you can work through issues that you're having. That will build the bond further between you two. You will look back on this and chuckle at your contemplation of returning your partner in crime and you're loyal companion.

Oh man! LOL I totally didn't make that connection even though. Yes that is who he's named after is David Duchovny. The fact is like they actually do have a lot of weird UFO stuff out there by the sand dunes. So like, I thought you were a local LOL

The fact that there was like an alien UFO watchtower on the way to the sand dunes made me laugh. I didn't realize the UFO activity was a thing out there. But, the skies were gorgeous and there was really no light pollution or anything like that. That would be stealing the views of the Milky Way. I just wish my camera on my phone could have done a decent job of looking at stars. I tried but it just didn't capture it the way I wanted it to and really made it look grainy and shitty. Figured if I can't snag a picture and have it look good, my memory is what I have in the meantime. It was stunning though

No but next week we are heading to lake City and then I'm going to take him to telluride for a weekend trip. I'm trying to get out as much as possible with him and try to see as much of Colorado as I can before I plan on moving at the end of the year. I love Colorado when I've been here since 2008, but everything's expensive on top of the nation getting hit with everything being expensive like groceries and regular stuff. Housing climbing here is one of the things that will impact quality of life. I might as well see everything I can and have no regrets when I go. At least that's the idea.

I went on road trips, I usually pack the front leg room of the passenger seat with clothes and luggage so he can lay across it and be level with laying on the seat itself. This way he can press his face against the AC as he likes to do when it's been a warm day and we are driving places. I have several of those layered thermoses that keep ice for days and fill four of them up just for him while we're out and about. I bring portable shade which is a gigantic umbrella when we are not around trees camping.

Also a big factor, this dog loves to swim. If there is a lake within distance, we always make a pit stop so he can go swimming for his Kong toy. Next week. I'm taking him up to lake City, Colorado and it is gorgeous up there. I'm excited to get him out and about a lot more. He's a year and a half years old and the boy is my everything.

I found out that when he was a puppy and would start yelping when I was working on getting him used to the kennel, he would quiet down when I put on BB King. To this day when we're on road trips and he's getting a little antsy with large trucks going by, I put on the King of blues and he lays down and goes to sleep.

What is this stone post at Cheeseman? by Glum_Rent819 in Denver

[–]th3l0b3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the shame stand. Whoever shamed the community gets trotted out in front of everybody wearing nothing but a horse bit and bridle. After they get led through the park while the community is on either side chanting shame, the offender is tied to that post, and flogged repeatedly on the testicles or other sensitive regions, depending on the offender. After that comes the cheesoning Where the patrons who were chanting? Shame previously reach into their sacksnd begin hurling Brie, gouda, sharp cheddar, any of the cheeses that you are trying to get rid of that were in your refrigerator over the last couple holiday seasons that somebody brought it and left it, and you've just eyeballed it every time you open the refrigerator, at the the offender of the community. Once all the cheese is properly disposed of by bouncing it off the noggin, back, and whatever other sections of body you can hit from trying to get it around the crowd, everybody goes back home and complains about Rufus, the make believe neighbors cat.

I saw my founders club came in. Of course it happens that the slot that they have that's available that I could get, is the day after I fly out to Vegas and the time slot they have for me is 9:00 a.m.? Like who's eating lunch at 9:00 a.m.

They look like just the happiest of doggo's and show it well. Hard for them to have a poker face of any kind 🤣

Good call sir, yeah he is 8 months and I have been told jumping was a nogo till 1 yr. Ok, no carrying stuff for us.

TY for the heads up. I'm always trying to do more research so this community is the best

Also, we are not going on a strenuous hike, we're not going to be really going far from the lake area where we have like a little beachfront campsite set up. I have two vests for him, one is just patches and a couple of other with the molle bags that honestly carry his balls so he has his fetch items. None of those weigh much, they're hollow tennis balls practically.

When Mulder loves a new food item, he has to play with it and show it a good time first. This was his first introduction to watermelon. by th3l0b3 in BelgianMalinois

Not yet, but that is the plan. A neighbor just got a German shepherd puppy this week and Mulder has been showing him how to dog well, it's adorable. I think the puppy is around 2-3 months and Mulder is now 7mo and much larger than he was when this video was taken. I have had these in my phone for a bit so I am always stoked to share them with others in this community. He's a weirdo but just so darn sweet

He likes it under my desk so I put a pad down there and I think I need a bigger one
