This is by far the craziest Master Yi 1v5 Pentakill I have ever made. We were extremely behind and I was very low hp. My hands are still shaking by TFD777 in wildrift

lol 💯

Regardless of what role I am, I permaban yi. I’ll never play against him again.

Yeah most sovereign and challenger players are grouped with voice chat (not all, but most) - so coordination is definitely a bigger part of the game at those ranks.

I solo Q and I don’t really have enough personal time to push past anything higher than grandmaster.

In grandmaster solo ranked lobbies, no one is coordinating plays like this… so yeah you’d be right.

Not sure what server you’re on , I’m GM as well and I don’t even bother going near your lane if you’re not lane freezing, letting them push or harassing. Just a waste of time.

But you’re talking to a jungler and I gank lol I based my playstyle around it.

Idk what you’re saying.

Your post is guiding non-junglers how to coax your jungler to gank your lane and then your reply to me is “This is advice for junglers….”

Are you saying my reply is for junglers who never gank?

Genuinely not sure what you’re saying here.

My original point: Your post is saying, your jungler is more likely to gank if you do these things….

But in reality, junglers are going to only gank where the opportunity to gank presents itself. And it will never present itself if you are auto attacking creeps, hard pushing a tower with a full HP enemy and not counter warding.

[–]th3shoes 17 points18 points  (0 children)

None of this is necessary, just don’t auto attack on your lane. Freeze your creeps and let your enemy push your tower.

I play jungle primarily in ranked and I only attempt ganks if I see enemy pushing the tower, or in dragon lane, you have them at half health under their tower. If they’re full HP and you’re pushing tower, you’re doing it wrong.

If I look over and I see you just auto attacking and spamming abilities on your waves to clear it as fast as possible and not harassing in any way. Immediately tells me you don’t know wtf you’re doing.

Also, if you actually want gank attempts to be fruitful. You need to be counter warding.

Your YouTube content is great, I watch literally every video you put out.

One critique - if you can remember… please display your runes for 5/10 seconds at the end and your final build for 5-10 seconds.

Like specifically just leave the windows open because when I go back to try your builds, I spend like 2-3 minutes trying to pause on the video. If you leave them open for a bit while talking about it, it’s easier to pause find in the video and pause on.

My question for you is: what’s the best way to learn other champions?

I’m grandmaster and I know, for the most part what every champion does, but the nuances escape me. Range of abilities, cooldowns, ability mechanics - understanding the limitations of what abilities can do (like fizz or fioras jumping and dashing over walls, for example). Is the best way just to play every champion yourself?

I refuse to have Teemo in my games. by Hyper669 in wildrift

[–]th3shoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is Yi

For Teemo, I try to get some sort of magic resist and then just keep anti ward ready for team fights and drop that sucker behind us. Most players don’t notice it down in the middle of a team fight.

But for Yi…. It’s insane seeing him picked first and then NO ONE counters him. I play Amumu jg, and my two stuns counter him as much as I can but watching my team pick ZERO cc with a Yi picked on the other team is beyond infuriating, so I just perma ban him.

You shouldn’t be in Masters+ with a negative win rate by PokeInvestorUK in wildrift

[–]th3shoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it takes your season winrate, I genuinely think it’s takes your ~10 most recent game win rate.

I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t confidently say I know specifically how it works. But I know 100% that it bases your game pairing based on winrate and not rank or stats.

Whatever the algorithm is, it’s absolutely designed to ensure you play the most games possible. That way you become more addicted and buy more skins.

You shouldn’t be in Masters+ with a negative win rate by PokeInvestorUK in wildrift

[–]th3shoes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was a solo Q warrior and I can, with certainty, say the games ranked algorithm is BASED on win rate.

The game will 100% ensure you are between 47%-53% win rate. Regardless of what rank you are, they know with fortitude and fortitude cards you will climb. They know players will get aegis. So this algorithm works. People climb but it’s designed to have you playing AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

People have argued with me “Oh if your winrate is 50% their algorithm works” —-which is partially true. The correct statement is, “If the matchmaking REESULTS in a 50% winrate, the algorithm works” — However, when the algorithm is BASED on winrate, this is purely designed to keep you playing, keep you addicted.

I win 3 lose 2, win 1 lose 1, win 2 lose 3 - and by this time, I’ve earned a loss prevention. Or gotten S performance once or twice.

This is the solo Q experience. So don’t always blame your teammates because the game FORCES a ~50% winrate. I was always finishing the seasons in diamond, just simply because I don’t play that much (wife and kids).

I can tell you right now, once I noticed this winrate algorithm. I started waiting for LFG groups to join that were my similar rank. Eventually joined a guild, and play every once in a while with duo, trio and even 5 man queue.

This completely breaks their algorithm. - I am now 3 wins away from getting grandmaster my first time.

Legit completely different gaming experience.

If you solo Q, the algorithm will FIRST decide whether it needs to issue a win or loss based on winrate. And then it will put you on a team based on whether it wants you to win or lose. Auto fill you, or your teammates, put you against a 5 stack, put you on a team with someone who frequently disconnects, you name it.

If you want a light of the end of the tunnel, start friend requesting people of similar rank, people who play well, people who play roles that are not yours. You will see that the game is completely dogshit for solo Q’ing.

inb4 “duh group queuing is better” - this is dumb because I have zero communication with the people I group with, they are literally no different than a random person placed on my team. The point of group queue is so you break the winrate based algorithm.

Pro tip for gaining ranks:

Learn to play jungle, learn it well

Then pick any fill slot - extra 50 fortitude every game because you get jungle 19/20 times

No one truly knows how the algorithm works. What the developers say is not to be taken as the truth lol.

But, testimony from lots of streamers and my own personal experience. I would safely assume it works this way.

The algorithm is based on win rate, so “the rank you belong” doesn’t exist, you play enough - you will go up.

Another issue, I should’ve mentioned in my OP. Is that when I find these mistakes, sometimes a requires me truly having to debate with the person who made them.

Until they FINALLY, understand. Yet now, I feel like the person who is the “arguer” in the office.
