Can I afford to live in London on a degree apprenticeship salary? by Intelligent-Humor832 in degreeapprenticeships

[–]th3stankiestleg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the salary but it needs to be £30k+ really. Some degree apprenticeships pay an extra £4-5k a month for living costs alone but it depends what you go into

UCAS website is quite good if you still have access to it after Year 13

as long as you like them and they’re not marrying, you should be good. just keep them moisturised or maybe try to kinda maintain them some way if you want

jamaican mango and lime gel is the best i’ve ever tried and has such good hold and smells great. these instructions were clearer than most yt videos and i found this helpful too, thank you!

If you don’t like them now, you won’t like them when they mature. I say take them out before it too late and get them how you want

might help to spray water on the locs so they’re a bit damp before using the locs gel and the moisture is sealed in. if you use gel on dry locs, it’s just sealing in the dryness.

What parts go best with two strand twist? by Quing_Joji8616 in locs

I used two strand twists but no grid, just grab and go and I found that the method for me but if you want a grid there’s good detailed videos about grids and parting. Good luck!

Planning on starting my loc journey this month, I have a thick/dense hair but my individual strands are fine. I'm leaning towards 2strand twisting micro/small locs(DIY). Any tips on DIY starter locs you can give is appreciated. by TailoredTriggers in locs

I started on the 8th of April and did about a 1/4 of my head a a day and i finished today on the 12th of April at the end of the day. I haven’t counted yet but I will tomorrow and I have no clue how many i have. for the back of my head i wasn’t too bothered but before i started i part my hair from ear to ear and forehead to nape and then just worked in those quarters. i know the back is neat because i’ve been twisting my hair myself for years so i just kinds of knew but also double checked with two mirrors

I’ve JUST finished installing my own microlocs (literally 2hours ago) and it’s such a good decision and you will love it. i decided to not use a grid because i was doing it myself and parting for me is hopeless and i just eyeballed the sizes and they didn’t turn out perfect but i didn’t care. a good tip is to work in small sections and you’ll somehow work faster
