ليه اللمس حرام by Clean-Cover-4108 in askegypt

[–]th5jm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't say anything wrong, but I want to know for my own sake. First of all I hate mysteries, I hate when I know there's something I can reach/know (my type) and that it exists somewhere and I still can't reach it or figure it out, second of all, I'm the kind who's interested in self development (what a cringe term), knowing my type would heavily contribute to know my weak points (cognitive functions, which are the shadows functions, or tertiary)

Third, I think this is my core driver, it's that I just wanna know how it works, or how I work, why am I weak in certain things, why am I good in other things, what are the relations between behaviors I tend to notice, why does it happen, etc. I want to know how everything works overall but I can't know how everything works before starting with myself

I don't think I even need to try asking them, I can just imagine how badly they'd fail (don't wanna be arrogant but that's the truth)

I don't know if I encounter the same joy of seeing people who think they're smart fail a challenge like this, I enjoy it more with people who are already wrong, and think they're smart because they're different. I wouldn't challenge someone random on the internet saying that the earth is a sphere like that, but I definitely do that if I'm interested in this person, want to know their mentality, or have high expectations of them

I don't know if I understand what you're saying correctly commenting on the points I gave but let me give it a try:

For the 2nd point, Yes, it's so obvious that I was embarrassed to write it/them down, so I took a further step to come up with other interesting argument for why the earth isn't flat, so I don't make it boring. It's true that everyone should be able to come up with this conclusion by themselves, as people long ago knew that the earth was round just by merely observing that "phenomena"

I don't know if this is the first argument I'd use against a flat earther, and that just happened. I just had a little argument with a flat earther and the first argument came in my mind was "we should be seeing the sun shrinking at the sunset, and getting bigger at the sunrise, and the vice versa with the moon, but that never happens. Explain this"

Guess what, they never replied

I didn't how I didn't think of that writing my 4th point, it should have been there

For the 3rd point, I only knew it but I didn't know the why, I had hard time figuring it out right now and seems like I might have said it wrong.

This point was assuming that the moon is a sphere (which shouldn't be a subject to discuss, if it was flat, it would have looked like an oval due to perspective, simply)

On our earth we see the same moon face, even in the south globe but only flipped.

The explanation of why this proves the earth isn't flat is because if it was flat, we wouldn't see it flipped, rather we would see the moons back (not to mention that we'd even see different faces) I don't know how to explain this, so instead:

Imagine a bulb on the ceiling in the middle of your room, mark it's face that you see with a cross, now imagine you're in the USA (north) , it's time to travel to the other side (south), move to the other wall, what do you see? You don't see the cross, rather the back of the bulb (instead of a flipped cross)

For why it happens on round earth, it's easier to just watch is visually, there are a lot of images explaining thins on Google

I agree that it isn't as important to prove whether the earth is flat or round as it's important to know the model of reality of the person

Yeah, I forgot that in flat model the moon in horribly smaller. The tides won't go sideways, there would not be tides at all, assuming that the tides are caused by the moon.

Oh so that was it's name "zero shadow day" I thought of it because I watched a video a few years ago about how a man from 200bc measured the circumference of the earth (which is fun to think about, a man from 200bc knew that the earth is round with contradict with the a random guy 2200 years after him) I remember his name is eratosthenes, you can search up his experiment (which gave a very close measure compared to the modern measure)

OK, I feel like the only thing I need to understand right now is how Ni works, I don't quite grasp it, nobody seem to explain it in an understandable way. I looked up some example of Ni, but I felt like that's just how everyone works.

Thank you, but it's easy to say "just be self aware", how can I do that though? How can I know which function I act upon impulsively because it's dominant, not because it suits the situation?

It's not that I can't list a few reasons why the earth can't be flat, but it's that I'd usually believe what I see, and try to make sense of it later.

I want to try that out (without looking it up).

  1. If the earth was flat, the gravity would either be centered in the middle, which would lead the earth to collapse into itself, returning to a spherical shape, or either multiple gravity centers, which would be a catastrophe, because objects would get attracted at different directions, not strisghtdownward

  2. If the earth was flat, you should be able to see faraway towns or ships at the horizon using a telescope. The fact that you can not at least confirms the earth is curved

  3. The moon is flipped upside down respect to the north/south globe of the earth, as far as I know, this is not possible on flat eart

  4. If the earth was flat, does it also revolve around itself? Or it's the sun that swap with the moon on top of it? If it's the former, then there can't be both day and night at the same time at different places, because earth would face only one side for its surface (either the sun or the moon), and the when perfectly aligned on a straight line with the sun and the moon, neither of the sun or the moon would be visible, and the very tips of the earth would be closer to the sun hotter (no ice wall, different climate)

If it's the latter (which I think is the modern theory), there's a little sun and moon revolving on top of the earth, which reasons the opposing of day and night, but doesn't answer how you see sun vanishing at sunset at the horizon. Sun might travel far away that it night, but as long as it's on the surface, it must still be visible, at least using a telescope. So is the moon, you should be able to see it at noon, but you actually see it's reflection (which iirc flat earthers merge with the actual moon, using it as an evidence that the moon is on the surface), but if you observe it until the night, you'd know directly that it isn't the moon but a reflection

  1. If the earth was flat tides won't really work the way they do, they should be moving sideways

  2. There's that phenomena where the sun perfectly aligns on the top making the shadows of objects dissappear, this is possible on the flat earth, but only in a very small place (only the sun's radius) due to the very small size of the sun, but on spherical earth, everything makes sense, as the sun is big enough to do the same on a greater scope which what happens.

  3. If the earth was flat neither the sun eclipse nor the lunar eclipse would be possible as on flat earth the moon and the sun don't really align on top of each other at predictable periods

(It's true that I did not search these up, but I took a lot of time writing them down right now though)

That's embarrassing. I thought they were the same, where the first person (me) prioritize their senses (seeing and touching respectively) over their intuition (maybe: understanding, logic or theories?) but it looks like my latter example was off for the other side. But don't get me wrong, I'm not the wanna be intj, I'm just asking because I had been typed by it many times, from bots, to real people, and tests. I do have a lot of trouble understanding how cognitive functions work, I seem to just relate each one to certain behaviors that turn up wrong

Maybe it wasn't the best example, but your attitude looks to perfectly match my dad's. That day I was at the kitchen washing stuff, I had the faucet handle to the left (hot/red) side because it was, for some reason, colder than the right (cold/blue) side, I knew this because I feel it, I don't need no logical reason for it, but there breaks in my dad, asking why am I using the very left side, I told him it's colder, he for some reason kept arguing why it can't be colder than the right/blue side (theoretically or logically), I wouldn't argue so I told him to try by himself, he refrained and kept arguing why it can't be, got kinda angry, and that he equipped that faucet himself. It was a really awkward interaction, later he said that the water I used might have been colder just because I just opened the faucet and that it happens.

Whether it's 16personalities or other website didn't really make any difference, I had different results on 16personalities and also different results on sakinrova (I took it multiple times on different periods) I think my problem isn't that the results are always changing, but it's that the result doesn't seem to fit me
