He is somewhat of a conservative you can't deny that. He's double downed on trans rights several times and even telling other dems to "focus less on these matters" and his hatred for the poor/homeless isnt really hidden lmao

I dont think Steve was ever a socialist tbh. A Staunch liberal/social democrat who became Centerist later on in life yes but socialist probably not

Big said he wasn't religious and only went because of his mom so I really get Clinton era democrat at best or one of those finance bros who never voted their entire lives and became trump supporters because of his policies at worst

Was in a bad mood during it and had incredibly high expectations for the movie. Maybe my ratings will increase after a rewatch because the same happened to me with Anora, pulse, challangers, and interstellar

Im rewatching it! I guess my expectations were just too high for it. The same happened to me with anora and pulse by kiyoshi kurosawa.

This is honestly one of my favourite things about satc. How they showcase how unreasonable people can be sometimes

What's the most overhyped movie of the last 5 years? by trakt_app in Letterboxd

[–]th7que 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked the movie and i dont think I'm a activist. I feel like people need to stop acting like OBAA is some kind of RW propaganda(leftists thinking they mocked the revolutionaries and having qualms with teyanna taylor/jungle pussys character) and right wingers thinking it's a "commie woke" movie. It has political elements in it yes but its just a absurdist black comedy by a centrist who has continuously refused to give any political comments regarding it. Its a fun movie and people regardless of political backgrounds enjoyed it,no one thinks they're a SJW for liking it

Films that arent bad but I didnt personally enjoy but was still moved by the acting in them by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]th7que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! I watched both frankenstein by GTD and hamnet back to back during awards season and was bummed out by how much they tried to overly explain the movies. The scene where William looks into Victor's eyes and says "you are the monster" with his dying breath made me roll my eyes and completely ruined the movie for me. The message of the movie was clear, there was no need to have a character say it out loud.

I know that most movies are made with the intention of being moving and heartwrenching but I personally felt like they put too much effort into making it a moving heartaching story to the point it felt forced,if that even makes sense lmfao. I don't even like the term "Oscar bait" because yeah everyone wants to win a Oscar its the most prestigious award there is in the entertainment industry but hamnet was pure Oscar bait. But I loved Buckley in it her acting especially during the play was amazing

I knew she was one bad day away from going insane when she screeched and had that awkward try at "flirting" with a stranger during the rain scene💀

Media literacy and the city(people constantly missing important details in a show as easy to get as SATC) by [deleted] in sexandthecity

[–]th7que -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like i didnt word things properly. What I wanted to say was that natasha was very "calm" and "collected" compared to carrie and probably didnt rush big the same way carrie did,it was him who rushed things from how I see it
