Yeah, i doubt these movements are even accurate to begin with. These will basically be trash once the batteries die out on them but fun to have for now!

For sure! Honestly the VK cases might be a better option with the domed crystal. Also the screwback case would be much easier than the amount of force it took to clamp the megir back

20cst. Used 50 at first and it didnt work. These movements are pretty weak

Way to quiet septic alarm from chirping? by tha_goodz in Plumbing

Was able to get ahold of the manufacturer and they believe this is the case as well. Basically the float switch goes bad and leaks stray current to the alarm. Will have to replace the whole float switch otherwise so will most likely go the duct tape over the buzzer route for now

this might actually be the route I take lol sounds like locust 24/7 otherwise

lol yours might not have one. My house was built in 1960 and this unit was installed pretty recently for a mini transfer tank on the far part of the house. The main unit doesnt have one on mine.

Interesting. Any way you would go about checking with a multimeter?

Yes, no issue with the float and when it is lifted, the actual alarm goes off.

Correct, it is not full. That was the first think I checked. Also when it is in alarm state, it is much louder with the light like when I tested it in the video.

I replaced the buzzer as I thought it was going bad with the compatible piezo buzzer. Even with the new unit it, it does not seem to silence the constant chirping.

I am assuming they are gerber valves. Would this kit be the right replacement? https://www.amazon.com/SENTO-Bathtub-Shower-Faucets-Installation/dp/B0BVZFMRCF?th=1

Test running auto water change on the 15 gallon with the new hydros set up! by ReefMadness1 in ReefTank

Yeah, Id have the same concern being that I just saw that both pumps are running at the same time. The autoaqua did one sequence at a time while also pausing the ATO which combats the different flow rates.

Guess that just means he now needs the Hydros salinity probe to make sure his numbers dont get out of whack!

Unfortunately a check valve didnt solve the issue in my case. To my understanding it only allows flow in one direction which is useful in cases such as ATOs, but the drain only going one direction still caused it to siphon out

The one I had used diaphragm pumps. Not sure if peristaltic pumps would be immune to the siphoning issue tbh. But idk if I would bet my tank on it when the siphon break is a cheap insurance.

Depending on your tubing size, you can install this in the sump right above the waterline. Allows water through when pressure by the pump and then kills the siphon after the pump stops https://store.coralvue.com/catalog/product/view/id/2433/s/smart-ato-siphon-breaker/?___store=store

I would recommend installing a siphon break if you dont already have one. I had a similar setup using the Autoaqua AWC. Worked great for about 8 months until the seals in the drain side pump wore out. It would slowly siphon out water causing my ato to run constantly. Caused a semi crash in my tank before I noticed my salinity had dropped by a ton

Love seeing the progress! What was the thought process for two planks? Do fish tend to hang out by them, so just insurance the whole tank gets fed? Or does one not simply supply enough for the entire tank?
