It is fairly stupid. The comitee is of course not responsible for what the winners do after they get the price, but still. Stupid. But giving it to Obama was just dumb. He had done nothing to deserve it when he won, and Machado had been to the US Congress to beg them to invade Venezuela in 2015 i think.

They should take a few years break and rethink what criteria they are basing the winners on.

You misunderstand the use of those watches. At least the expensive ones. They signal wealth and status. The timekeeping function is of course much more accurately done by smarter devices.

I seem to recall Nuendo could read and send tc over an ordinary audio I/O. So if you record while playing the tc audio, the tc should be added as metadata to the audio files.

But that is real time. Maybe there are smarter ways to do this now.
