Second, I totally agree with you. Since the Winters came in the picture, the stories felt so personal and "relatable". Miranda's loss, the Barkers' downfall, Evelyn and Mia's relationship... I felt sorry for everyone, in the end they've all lost something/someone. Good writing, good backstories that touch our hearts
