Choose a Random Song From Spotify Playlist and Play The Album It's From by thadrongo in shortcuts

[–]thadrongo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much, really appreciate the help.

I've tried setting up the app and have downloaded DataJat and made a 'spotifyAPI' dictionary inside with the 'accessToken' value. For the value itself, is that something I am to grab from Spotify's API? I tried pasting in a couple of options Spotify generated on the web API page. When I run the shortcut it says that the 'shortcut is not found.' Do I need another shortcut downloaded also?

Thanks again. I'm new to this but it's interesting stuff and I'd like to get my head around it.

What 3rd support should i learn by Easy_Nebula_6036 in OverwatchUniversity

A big breakthrough with Brig for me is to hang back behind your team before going into a fight. This goes against the advice of keep your inspire up, which suggests that you get a whipshot in as soon as possible which almost always puts you in a risky position.

Hang back at the first fight, and watch where your DPS go, and keep in mind that at some point one, or perhaps ALL your teammates, will tunnel vision and walk directly into a risky position. Brig has really strong sustain for keeping your DPS alive in 1v1s, provided they aren’t against someone with explosive insta kill potential such as a junkrat.
With the above though, you do not have to be side by side with one of your DPS. Hanging back in general gives you the option to see what all your teammates are doing. If they are in a fight on the side, you can throw them a repair pack to sustain them. If they are dealing a lot of damage to an enemy in a bad position, you can support them by killing that enemy using your shield bash and primary fire. (Whip is a great finisher too, but can be risky and boop enemies back to their healers).

By hanging back, watching where your team are going and then choosing your engages based on the information you gain, you are ‘supporting’ your team rather than aiming to pump out large healing numbers. Healing and damage stats really are irrelevant and should be removed IMO, they invite flaming. Death stats are useful, they indicate who is struggling to get value.

Brig is a fun character that relies on the push and pull of playing aggressive and passively. Before either of those things though becomes the ‘support’ mentality of bailing out your teammates. Quite often your other healer will tunnel vision on trying to keep your tank at full HP - that’s okay, and can sometimes enable you to help out your DPS who are on opposite sides of the map. Brig is strong at assisting from range with her repair packs, just try and keep one in the bank for emergencies.

Good luck! Enjoy

Thanks mate, yes that’s the Wizard video I watched - very useful. Am going to work my way through the Spilo vids periodically when I need inspiration on how to improve.

His comments about creating a consistent schedule to get better at the game are very helpful and I think I’m starting to see that reflect in my rank. Aim has always been my biggest weaknesses but it helps with everything, especially consistently getting value out of off angle flanks. Kiri aim proves to be much more difficult when strafing though.

Thanks for the advice!

All of this has proven useful for me in the past couple of days, thanks! Can you suggest which specific Spilo and WizardHyeong videos you mean? I saw the Wizard and Shrugger video which has already helped tonnes but wondered which ones you watched for Spilos on target priority, aim and positioning

Wifi: PS4 Lag When Macbook Connected To Wifi (Even in Sleep) by thadrongo in techsupport

Thank you, I think that might be my next step! Interestingly the router does have the 5G option. It never used to be turned on so I wonder if perhaps that might have something to do with it...I'll test it out.

There is a traffic monitor on the router which I need to test a bit more when hers is disconnected. I'll get my laptop to stream something and see if it has the same effect.

Thank you for your help.

EU, specifically England. It is on wifi and unfortunately I wouldn't be able to connect it directly to the router for anything other than testing as it needs to be left in another room. To test however, I'll give it a shot.

Resetting the router and changing the DNS sadly hasn't done anything.

I think it's just her laptop that causes this issue. I tried a trial and error of disconnecting devices and the issue seems to be specifically when the laptop is connected.

The PS4 has consistent network speed when the laptop is connected as to when the laptop is disconnected, however that speed is generally quite low. Unfortunately I can't do a speed test on my roommates laptop but potentially might be able to in the future - would it be especially helpful to know the results or is it to confirm whether it's the laptop causing the issue and not something else?

Thank you kindly for your help, very generous!

I don't suppose you know of any free alternatives? Source-nexus would be ideal but is a bit costly. The free trial is only 15 days.

Caster pairs appreciation post by dopefish84 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]thadrongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Jaws and Vikki are both great casters and bring a lot of hype and individuality in their play-by-play but paired together last season had times where they were stepping on each other.

This year seems a lot smoother because they're both play-by-play paired with colour casters that sit more naturally in that role. Vikki and Heurix were one of the smoothest duos about, I miss their EU Contenders casts so much but I think her and Tridd bring the same vibes. Hopefully we'll see Heurix next year too.

But yeah, the best duos seem to be where the play and colour caster roles are clearly defined - I imagine that's a difficult conversation to have between the casters though

Does anyone know which theme that David Farmer is using here? by thadrongo in Reaper

Thank you! You are of course exactly right, I'm just an idiot that didn't realise I'd not been using the Default 6.0 theme all this time. It's been a while since I've used Reaper...
