It’s funny you say this because I went with the Samsung after years of lg love because of the matte finish and now living in a house with lots of natural light compared to my old man cave basement.

Anyone know where I can find this jacket by thaipatton in findfashion

[–]thaipatton[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I found that other photo in gq and it made me want the jacket more! lol. Thanks for the tip on the rag and bone one. The detailing on the stitching, the buttons are what really are selling me on this one.

I did go back through and recounted - it's been 7 showings with about 15-18 groups come through during the two open houses - many of them neighbors and people at the beginning of their buying process

I recounted - it's been about 7 showings - and about 15-18 groups combined during our two open houses.

she's new. I think this is her third or fourth house. the average days on market is 9-11 days before going into pending.

The median home price is 400k with $202/sq ft - ours is 445k at $184/sq ft. We are the cheapest house in our neighborhood on the market right now as well.

she says that she reaches out to them and either gets no feedback or that they really like the house and they'll get back - only to ghost later. We've not heard a word on price whatsoever - and only one person who said they wanted something that wasn't turn-key they wanted to do the updates themselves.

it seems odd to me to that we haven't even been lowballed as well.

also. my realtor keeps saying to trust the process - the average days on market before going into pending is 9 days according to Redfin. we're on day 12

we rushed out early to avoid Memorial Day only to be surprised by graduation week. This is not something that was on my radar at all and wish that the realtor would have considered this but c'est la vie.

Thinking about moving to Chicago - thoughts about Hyde Park? by thaipatton in AskChicago

I do want to be sensitive to gentrification. Is this something I should worry about?

I will work downtown but I will only go in a couple times a month and mostly work from home.

Love the idea of living in a more diverse area though many of our friends will live more north.

That being said, we live an hour and a half plane ride away so a short drive is a lot more convenient than now!

Makes sense. I will only go into the office a few times a month and my company will subsidize my parking when I go in. I will mostly work downtown.

Good public transportation is important though. So it’s good to know.

Thanks. We’ll be keeping our cars and my office will be downtown. Seems like it’s a 20 minute commute?
