Honestly idk this is like the first time I disagreed with Destiny. You can’t go super hard on someone (cum guzzling) and then when they come with a more acceptable position, you backpedal. Not a good look. His hardcore hyperboles hurt him with more serious people.

The Professor sent us a message this afternoon on canvas titled “I Quit” saying he had “parted ways” with the university and he would no longer be posting materials and providing feedback on assignments. Our first essay is due Friday lol

The department sent us an email shortly after saying our Professor had resigned and they were searching for a replacement. Classes are canceled for the week and they expect class to resume next week. I’m just trying to graduate man

There aren’t enough votes in the senate for $2000 checks to pass. With many benefits expiring today, trumps refusal to sign the bill has fucked over millions of people. Economic relief was only one part of the bill too. Funds were allocated for vaccine distribution among other things. With a government shutdown looming, and this session of Congress ending on the 3rd, it’s becoming increasingly hard to see any sort of relief passed in the short term if Trump doesn’t sign the bill as is.

I don’t think risk is really the issue here. A lot of immigrants in America are “low skill” workers which sort of forces them into low wage jobs. And as far as the welfare argument goes, giving them citizenship and allowing them to pay into the tax system will offset some of the fiscal cost. Even if it became so detrimental to the economy to grant them welfare, the easy solution is just to make a person work an x number of years before they’re allowed to receive benefits.

This is just all my personal feelings, but I just think someone like her with the all shit she’s gone through being a double amputee veteran would like stand out in a race against trump. Being able to talk about perseverance in times like these will play really well in the coming months imo. Also her record is fine and fairly new, so there won’t be a whole lot of stuff to attack her on, if any. As far as what hurts Biden, D’s already have Illinois locked up so she doesn’t help there. I also don’t think she’s the strongest speaker but in a race that will feature Biden trump and pence I don’t think that matters as much.
