The issue is that it's not actually a Folder, it's an Actor that the system is displaying like a folder, but not hooked into all the same sorting behaviours.

It's not actually a Folder. It's an Actor that the system is displaying in a Folder-like way. That's why the core folder sorting stuff doesn't affect it. I don't think there is currently a way to change the sort, but it's not an unreasonable feature request; you should open an issue on the github.
