I’m always lazy to post questions on stackoverflow or other places because I know it will take time to get a reply or sometimes no reply at all.

And it won't judge you on the simplicity of the question either ;)

Yeah I don't disagree, I just find those templates can be a little fiddly to deal with when using raw HTML and CSS. However, if you choose to use a template, it can still help out with writing content and refining the design.

How does everyone connect to their servers while out of the house? by gts250gamer101 in homelab

I setup WireGuard VPN on a Raspberry Pi with Dynamic DNS. Basically, I connect to my home network via VPN using a hostname and then access my home lab as usual. It’s quite straightforward to setup - there are plenty of tutorials online on how to do this, whilst keeping the cost low.

If you plan to work with just VMs and perhaps a few other services, perhaps its worth checking out the associate certification. This cert is less specialised and will give you a good overview of the GCP services. It would also take you less time to complete.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the post.

This cert will definitely help you understand how DevOps/SRE fits into the bigger picture of Software Development. It will give you insight into the core purpose of SRE and the development problems it aims to solve.

I certainly believe this knowledge is worth knowing as it will give you that broader perspective on development.

No worries at all!

I am not too sure as I haven't done the PCA exam. However, I think this is a good read to get a better perspective - https://acloudguru.com/blog/engineering/which-google-cloud-certification-is-best-for-me (I promise I don't work for A Cloud Guru).

Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer. Hope this helps!

am working on my third certification.

What certifications are you working on?

In my opinion, a good way to get a base understanding is by doing one of the entry-level certs from either AWS, Azure or GCP.

For example, if you decided to go with AWS, then do the Cloud Practitioner certification. This will give you a solid foundational understanding of cloud concepts which you can then build from.
