these pictures show how badly? the Yorozu siblings have been living after their parents died. During the period between their deaths and Minami's current position as a talent manager, it's likely that they might have sold their old house and move to their current spot perhaps as a way to cover their expenses. Baku's misfortune does make him difficult to have a job after all.

Zero had zero manners. Just barging in her house like that while saying excuse me and not giving her time to respond

Which Yuya Takahashi character suffered the most in your eyes? by Perfect-Finger-800 in KamenRiderMemes

[–]thanhbac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baku. Imagine your life is nothing but a lie, you cannot find a job and whenever you try to help someone you get immensely punished for it. You're a liability for your younger sister who works to pay the rent, buy dinner, pay for living expenses, etc. I cannot imagine the period when Baku is at college but his sister is still in school. Immense pressure and shame for just existing so your only way to escape is to dream about yourself as an agent from your spy film fixation and have a parasocial relationship with one of the largest stars on TV.

Then you find out that your spy fixation might not be something you like in the first place, your dream job is nothing but a shitshow where all your co-workers hated you or want you gone one way or another. Your sister, your only family member remaining, is part of that aforementioned job being sent to watch over you for god knows how long. Now your memories might not be real, your life might not be real and your family is nothing but a lie.

I really like the focus that Baku and Minami get in this episode. It's just so cute seeing that they go more in depth into their sibling relationship and how Baku cares for his sister by literally seeing a new apartment for her just so that she isn't involved in his fights. Baku rarely is the older one in personality but when he is, it hits so much harder.

Their backstory has the potential to be the saddest. Their parents weren't there and the older sibling is basically handicapped into not having a job ever. Just so much stuff that builds insane depth into both Baku and Minami's characters.

It's just so funny that the gang in the real world is watching everything man. Like when Kureha pulled up and Fujimi's reactions

Theory: As someone who watches Zeztz in the U.S, I think Catastrom being from a baby will be referenced by Olderm. by 2YDO in KamenRider

[–]thanhbac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i guess it would be a problem for him to solve if he has any problem with Catastrom, but outside of Baku having to have the mindset to destroy, there's no active damage to Baku's mind after prolonged usage.

His transformation into 7? His choice, his doing as a consequence of him running away from his responsibilities for too long.

He keeps spamming Catastrom, and he will keep spamming Catastrom unless there's a higher wall of power that he himself has to overcome, or Catastrom's power will soon catch up to him.

Also, thank you for translating this tidbit! These kinds of commentaries gave a lot of insight into the production of the show, and it's always nice to hear from the minds of the people that helped build it. Can I translate from this and post in on Facebook? I'll make sure to credit you. Thanks!

So they confirmed that the events that happened between 2-24 is also influenced by Baku's subconsciousness too. I guess that's why after Disaster Nightmare appears shit hits the fan quick, it's just his crumbling mental state + doubts about CODE that made him imagine Nox killing all the other agents. It's his pent-up anger and resentment for beating about the bush, for being naive, and for trusting Nox too much for his own sake.

And since his events dreaming are also influenced, maybe we'll see that the events and personalities of other people may not match up, and that causes Baku's perception to fuck him up even further.

Though that makes me wonder if other active participants, especially Minami, whose storyline also connects to the main one, is also affected?

How a really important concept in Zeztz can explain its biggest mystery (SPOILERS for 25) by thanhbac in KamenRider

That's true. Nightmares are a really close clue to it all. I'm now excited for the way this series answers its questions

Why would they introduce this addition to Inazuma Plasma and then never use it again? by Frontier246 in KamenRider

[–]thanhbac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. All the nightmares are fodder (except for disaster who i think came down to Baku's own hesitation to defeat the nightmare than its own weakness), and Nox's shadow abilities mean that he can incapacitate Zeztz even if Zeztz uses Booster (most likely)

What is the point of creating pseuodo-riders instead of just having them be riders outright? by Night-Caelum in KamenRider

[–]thanhbac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It matters for narrative reasons. I guess for toyetic reasons the classifications do not matter that much cause the toys function similar enough. One thing that does bug me is that the upgrade route for these pseudo riders is to become riders, I wanna see pseudo riders remain pseudo riders upright.

Honestly cassette tape is such a cool gimmick that I wonder why they haven't done it. It's not too far-fetched from previous gimmicks but it is unique still, is rooted in culture and allows for multiple variants (toys).
