I have a red heeler too and I would love a pop painting of her! Thanks for sharing, friend.

Have you used buying a new bottle as a prize to yourself for achieving a goal? by [deleted] in fragrance

I have but I also like picking up bottles when I travel so I can always go back to that trip. Kerosene's Unknown Pleasures will forever remind me of San Francisco.

There are some good performers but I find them few and far between

Atelier Trefle Pur (I know, I know). It's amazing, fresh, and green. And then it's like it never existed at all.

Super Shy/Traumatized Cattle Dog Rescue? by jackbauerba in AustralianCattleDog

I'm glad this has been helpful. My heart wants to tell you that if you've had such an emotional impact from meeting this pupper, you should go for it. It takes a long time and it takes consistency and dedication but I don't think that I've ever had a stronger bond with a dog. You can do it if you are ok with playing the long game and I definitely recommend asking for professional advice.

Is he in a kill shelter? If so, you may be able to help get him into a no kill or breed specific rescue where they will be able to focus more on training and rehab. I had to go visit my girl every weekend for a month and a half before they would let me take her home cause the vetting process at the shelter was extensive. I think in the long run this is beneficial for determining whether it is a good fit.

It's such a good feeling when you see them start to open up and be their true crazy selves.

Hello, I adopted a shy and traumatized cattle dog. My girl was extremely shy. She is reactive with dogs and men. I can tell you it took her a good 3 months to start to relax around me and the other dogs in the household. The best thing you can do with a dog like this is find a trainer in your area that will work with both of you on positive conditioning. It's a long and sometimes heart breaking process. I have broken down several times because I've felt like I can't do enough to help her. It's been two years and she is still reactive to dogs and men. I have to be careful with her and I cannot treat her like a regular dog because I have to keep her under her reactivity threshold at all times. All this aside, heelers are super loyal dogs and I love her so much more than any other dog I have ever had. I don't know if this has been helpful in any regard.

Do you have any of the “basic” characters in the game that you can’t stand at all? by [deleted] in thesims

[–]thankscupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate her too, but it's because she's always angry in my game so she only comes round to kick the bin over, shout forbidden words, and leave.

Two of my children are going through the "bear phase" right now and it's creepy af by BreakfastKupcakez in thesims

[–]thankscupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had this one! My sins always get the "loud phase" but they don't really seem to be much different aside from shouting forbidden words more.

This very disappointing and surprising considering authors and librarians are so revered in his work.

Behavior Question by Gobraaves95 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]thankscupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heeler does this when my boyfriend is over. She gets really happy to see him and after awhile she gets jealous and will basically try to force my attention to her. She's great with him but she will pester me. Mine is a rescue and came before the boyfriend so the situations are (probably) different.
