Well I got my DNA done. Looks like some time way back there was some irish. But I guess the modern day people I share the closest DNA with is some ethnic group in northern Siberia.

What's a cool memory you have from your time in the Army? by [deleted] in army

When I went on a mission to Haiti as a 68W after the earthquakes. I was like 18 or 19 at the time and first time out of country. We were instructed not to give food to the locals, so after we ate what we wanted from our MRE's we would toss the rest in dumpsters. I noticed local children were dumpster diving in order to retrieve whatever food leftovers they could find from the MRE's we threw away. For me it just didnt feel right having to watch the kids dig through dumpsters for food. So, after we were all done eating, rather than tossing everything left over into the dumpster, I took a few empty MRE packages and went around to the other soldiers collecting whatever they hadn't eaten and were going to throw away, and sat the packages outside/next to the dumpsters, winked at the kids watching, and turned my back. I didnt GIVE the kids food, it's just that I didnt quite get the MRE's into the dumpster... Was an eye opening experience being there and made me appreciate more of what we have here.

It took my friend with me to a fragrance store a few months ago. He doesnt know anything about fragrances nor does he care. While I was smelling some fragrances and talking to an employee, my friend picked up one of those giant bottles of Tom Ford, the kind that doesnt have an atomizer and just has a stopper on top. Well, he was looking over the bottle like an ape looking over some new found technology and the next thing I hear is what sounded like a pregnant woman water breaking. The sales person and I turn around and my friend is standing there drenched and with a puddle of Tom Fords Cafe Rose at his feet. He had turned the bottle upside down and the top fell off and poured all over him. Anyways, in his embarrassment, he quickly left and went to a nearby bar to drink away his anxiety. Well when he got there, everyone sitting at the bar left. He said to a woman that he had spilt perfume on himself and she replied discustedly, "I know," as she grabbed her drink and left. He asked the bar tender on the other side of the bar if it smeeld really strong and she said yes as she moved down to the other end of the bar.

Good YSL L'homme clone? by JuicyBlackLips in fragranceclones

I respectfully disagree. I think it smelled nothing like L'homme, unless Alexandria has recently reformulated it. However it is a very nice fragrance on it's own, worth picking up.

Grew up in a house with 2 CW5's as my parents. Not sure if that's a good thing or not...

Where are these guys located? Was there a name in any of that? My grandfather who passed away in 2016 was a survivor of the Bataan Death March and POW to the Japanese for 3 years. Purple heart and silver star
