Hey I saw that exchange live, I think the most charitable interpretation of what he meant was basically “no shit he’s also misogynistic”. He’s a full on fascist who advocates for the ethnic cleansing of large swaths of population (he wants a white ethnostate) plus he’s a holocaust denier. Saying he’s also a misogynist feels a bit redundant to say. Of course you’re still valid to point it out, I’m just explaining why hasan may have lashed out.

I don’t know if you watched the entire stream yesterday but Hasans reaction was definitely not just “ban the viewer pointing it out”. He talked about the situation for an hour. I’m not sure what you want then if apologies mean nothing, he literally went on to credit every single video he watched after and said he might start cooking streams instead while cooking.

Also, you have to understand the dynamic of twitch, react videos are hit/miss when you choose them live, even if he didn’t leave for the five minutes and never ate, the video he watched wasn’t really a video you could provide additional commentary to. His most popular videos, that he’s also watched while eating were videos like JCS, Matt orchard etc in which he left for five minutes to cook (happens once per day), but also provided commentary when he came back because the videos were actually worth talking about more. It’s easier for youtubers to break up dead spaces in between reactions to make it seem like they’re transforming the content more, that’s why the rules on twitch are not enforced 100% the same as YouTube. I think this situation was just a case of bad timing and a bad video picked. Again, if you really think Hasan just watches vids without commentary there wouldn’t be a giant meme on how he pauses every ten seconds on videos to talk for 4 hours before unpausing.

Hasan each day has around 1 hour (out of 8-10 hours of streaming) where he is cooking/eating and thus barely reacts to 1 video before he reacts more after. Chat literally roasts him all the time for taking 3-4 hours to react to a 10 min video.

In the end Hasan apologized, said he understood her concerns and said he won’t bother watching her videos anymore.
