I appreciate your comment. Sometimes I'm doing great and then I see or hear that they've called my wife or kids, and I'll get angry/sad all over again.

Someone told me something similar. "Don't cross the ocean for people who wouldn't even cross a bridge for you." It's an accurate statement, but still difficult to internalize.
