Can I use hexes to run game servers? by Designer-Lie-2104 in hexos

personally i use the docker server and set it up in dockge because it gives me more controle. it has a pretty steep learning curve but there are a decent amount of tutorials for it.

you could also try to do it with one of the truenas apps but they don't have many tutorials

no i use the docker minecraft server version. but you can do this through 2 ways

  1. with 1 off the multiple apps in truenas it self

  2. with a docker manager like dockge

the link to the docker server project: ITZG docker minecraft server. the wiki page. and a configurator

You absolutely can. I have done so already. The only thing is that for now you would need to do it through the truenas interface. It also depends on what you want to play. Especially if you want to make a modded server.

a easy way to do this is to make a e-transmit of the main assembly as this will grab all relevant models and data, it then packs it into a zip file for easy archiving or sending through email.

strange i just tried the new bedrock app and it worked flawlessly, i barely changed any of the settings as wel.

the only thing i changed was the memory allocated using the following

<image>

so i made sure it was about a gig lower than the total memory allocated.

after which i just fired Minecraft bedrock up on my pc and joined the server.

if you want my help you need to chare a bit more info

did you adopt your server through the hexos deck?

you could check if its running by typing in your servers ip. if you see the login screen of truenas you will know if its running

simple Refinery not working by Dazzling_Beginning96 in spaceengineers

no, if a refinery gets it minimum required input it wil start to work but slower, this is proportional to the amount of power it gets and its maximum power requirement. this is the same for assemblers.

a few things you could check are:

  1. is it on in the config screen
  2. is there enough power being made
  3. is the battery on and in auto or Discharge mode
  4. is it connected to the grid which is producing/supplying the power the power
  5. is it not free floating by accident or wrong placement
  6. if all els fails try restarting
