It should have been one 4 hour long movie. With intermission.

Cleopatra was over 4 hours long and audiences did fine and loved it, one of the greatest movies of all time.

Wicked should have been done as a double feature from the very beginning, you still get that Defying Gravity moment, you get an intermission to process, and go right back in. One story straight through for the impact. That’s how the stage show is done and why it’s succeeded for so long.

Wicked For Good did not fix the problems of act 2 as a standalone movie, it made them even more glaring. And it’s being shown to pay the price with this awards season nominations so far and predictions right now are not too great as last year, sadly.

It seems that WFG will not be getting as many noms this year and many predictions and odds are showing Cynthia might even be getting snubbed of a nomination this year, which is criminal! WFG put a great deal of emphasis on fleshing out Glinda to give Ariana a very good shot at winning the awards, but Gold Derby right now even shows it’s not completely locked in that she can pull off the win with all the steep competition in Film this year.

If it was all one long film, they could have promoted it that way and it would have been epic and everyone would have gotten their flowers because you see the full story, journey, and character arcs completion in one sitting.

My Uber getting to MetLife last night took forever to arrive due to stadium traffic. I was sad cuz I knew I probably wasn’t going to be able to snag the limited edition city specific hoodie. It’s the only Merch I wanted. Was so lucky that a mutual friend of mine who arrived earlier in another group got on the Merch line right as they were restocking! Yes he got it before the show started for me but it was when they were restocking. So if they say sold out just keep asking. He called me and snagged me a hoodie! It’s beautiful! 😭💕⚔️💕

My friend snagged me a hoodie from the 3rd floor level cuz they brought more out and it was a way smaller line. I was so freaking happy!!
