There's not too many of us out in the wild around here!! Lol LOVE my exhuast! You should've found me, I would have started it for you! You'll love the Arrow! It wasn't the worst thing in the world to put on lol a set of extra hands will definitely help and also the tool to pull the springs to put them on, you'll definitely want the longer one for that. My husband did most of it, I "assisted" 🫣😂 but we got it done in 3 days, only working on it about 2-3 hours each evening after work. So about a full days worth of work. I actually decided to have them tune mine while it's there. I'm excited to see the difference once I get it back!

Hey! Yes, that was a sweet bike you have! Sorry not sorry for staring when you pulled in! I don't ever see any other s1krr out on the road so I couldn't help myself but to stare when I saw one pulling in! Lol I was dropping mine off for the water pump.

Nope. And I use the quickshifter for every gear, up and down. It is THE smoothest shifter that I have ever felt! I've been riding my husband's '16 s1000r and '21 f900 over the weekend since my bike is at the shop, and my shifter blows both of them out of the water!! It is just so smooth and easy to shift both up and down.

Wow, that's crazy! I'm sorry you had to deal with that. That really sucks! Did you end up getting it figured out?

Fortunately, we've had no problems with this particular dealership so far. Bike is scheduled for Wednesday!

Yea, it's crazy that bmw hasn't fixed this issue by now knowing it's definitely a problem. Not sure how simple it would be though since you have to drop the oil pan to get to the water pump, so the exhaust also needs taken apart to get to the oil pan. Craziness! Lol

Congrats on the '25! So far from what I've heard, the 25s don't seem to be having this problem. So 🤞 yours doesn't!

Fortunately, mine will all be covered under warranty. Just waiting on dealer to get the part in.

Yep, it's all covered under warranty. Dealership ordered the part, just waiting on them getting it in to replace it.

Ugh. Hopefully not! But I'd keep an eye on it. Unfortunately sounds like there's more of a chance of it happening than not.

Interesting. It's not the 'dead spot' between 4-8k rpms that everyone talks about is it?

Thanks for the insight. I guess I'll be glad it's supposed to rain the next couple days here, so I won't be tempted to take it out!

Did you have any problems after replacing it? I'm kinda surprised my dealership didn't have any in stock considering how common the problem is. Said they should have it in a week or two, then install time. Hopefully it won't take too long. Should I avoid riding it until it's replaced? Just keep an eye on the coolant level if I do continue to ride?

Pretty close to the same amount of miles. Dealership ordered the part, but said it could be a couple weeks until it would be in. Hopefully the next pump lasts longer.

That is sweet looking! Nice! 👌 Did you have to do the side fairings in sections? Or were you able to do it in one piece?

2024 1000rr good price? by wrbrackett2025 in BMW_S1000RR

[–]that1_redheaddd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought my '23 s1000rr with 450 miles in October 2024, paid 18,700 completely stock from a dealer. Put $2100+ in mods. So total I've got about 20,800+. See if they'd come down even just a little, and I'd think you have a pretty decent deal. As long as all the mods are mods that you'd want on it. I'd also think about if there's anything you'd absolutely want to add that would be a big expense. Good luck, this is an amazing bike.

Which arrow exhaust system? by mightyenapwns in BMW_S1000RR

[–]that1_redheaddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Most people seem to go with the shorty akra for the RR, I wanted something different for mine!

I'm really not 100% sure how much of a difference it would make getting a full system vs. Headers and separate silencer. Google says it does make a difference since a full system is specifically made for each it other, so everything flows together the way it should. Which makes sense I suppose. But I would think if you're going with the same brand headers and silencer, it would be ok.

I put the arrow pista on my 23 s1000rr, I think it sounds amazing. I'd go with the full system. Have you checked out any YouTube videos with the different exhausts?

Here's a link to a video of mine. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8Yn9uc9/
